The roar of the crowd filled the stadium as the Los Angeles Dodgers took the field. A summer night at the ballpark, complete with a warm breeze and the lights shining brightly, set the perfect scene for an unforgettable game. Y/N, a beautiful and huge Dodger fan, sat next to her energetic and fun-loving friend June, both of them eagerly awaiting the first pitch. Little did
Y/N know that this game would not only be memorable, but it would also be the beginning of an unexpected and exciting meeting. With the crack of the bat, the game began. Y/N and June both cheered passionately for the Dodgers, their excitement growing with each play. As they were fully immersed in the game, a subtle yet charming distraction caught
Y/Ns attention. Sitting just a few rows in front of them was none other than Tommy Edman, the talented and handsome shortstop for the Dodgers. Tommy, feeling the adrenaline rush of the game, couldn't help but sneak a few glances at the pretty fan in the Dodgers jersey. His gaze lingered, and a sly, irresistible wink escaped his charming eyes as he set his sight upon Y/N.Y/Ns heart skipped a beat as she locked eyes with Tommy, feeling a surge of excitement from his playful wink. She quickly turned away, a mix of excitement and nervousness sweeping over her. June, noticing her friend's blushing cheeks and the faint smile forming on her lips, leaned in with a raised eyebrow, whispering, "Did Tommy just wink at you?" "No, it must have been someone else.", Y/N insisted, feeling her heart racing even faster. Despite Y/Ns attempt to brush it off, she couldn't ignore the warm sensation spreading through her. The game continued, but Y/Ns attention was now divided, finding herself glancing towards Tommy more frequently while he played at shortstop. Each time she caught his eye, he offered a charismatic smile that only deepened her crush.
As the Dodgers scored run after run, the fans erupting in cheers, Y/N found herself stealing glances at Tommy more often as he stole bases and rounded the bases. Every time they locked eyes, she felt a pang of excitement. June, knowing her friend could never resist a charming man, let alone Tommy Edman, she nudged Y/N with a grin, whispering, "I see you looking. He's definitely checking you out. You should totally go for it!" "What? No way, uh ah," Y/N protested, her face growing hotter by the minute. Yet, the thought of Tommy's attention made her feel both flustered and intrigued. As the game progressed, Tommy's glances became more deliberate, accompanied by charming smiles that sent shivers down
Y/Ns spine. June, seeing Y/Ns resolve crumbling, urged, "Come on, girl, you're gorgeous. And you're both single. What's stopping you?" Y/N's mind was a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. A charming and attractive baseball player, who so happens to be her favorite and biggest crush, was flirting with her, and she was finding it harder to resist his charm. June's words echoed in Y/Ns head, urging her to take a chance. "But what if he's just messing around?" Y/N hesitantly replied, her heart pounding in her chest. June rolled her eyes, replying, "You'll never know if you don't put yourself out there. And trust me, you won't want to regret not giving your baseball crush a chance." Y/N took a deep breath, the game now a blur as her thoughts centered around Tommy. His every smile, every wink, felt like an invitation. June placed a supportive hand on her shoulder, encouraging her. "Look, you're beautiful, down to earth, and love baseball. Tommy would be lucky to have you if he's doing all this just to talk to you. Just go for it!" Y/Ns nervousness was overshadowed by a newfound confidence, fueled by June's encouragement and Tommy's, hopefully, obvious interest.
As the game entered the later innings, Tommy had taken out for the rest of the game as they were up 10-2. At this point Y/N steeled herself, her decision made. She whispered to June, "Alright, I'm going for it." June's eyes widened with excitement, a broad grin spreading across her face. "Yes! You've got this!" The reader took one more look at Tommy as he sits in the dugout, catching his eye once again. His smile was the final nudge she needed. She rose from her seat, her heart pounding. This was it. As she makes her way through the rows of seats, Y/N felt every step bring her closer to Tommy. The crowd cheered and clapped at the sight of the game, but it was all white noise to her. As she approached the row behind the dugout, Y/N finds a sit to place behind the dugout, and as she sits, Tommy is already looking at her with excitement. Tommy looked up, a charming smile playing on his lips. "Hey," he says, making his attention only on her. Y/N settled in the seat as she tried to keep it cool, "Hi," Y/N says softly, the air between them felt thicker, charged with the anticipation of their interaction.
