Was it a dream? Or a nightmare?

As you awake from having no dream at all, the twins are still asleep. You groan out loud, having a massive headache. All throughout the night, you were hearing odd laughs... You ended up not thinking much of it, as you were having vivid dreams even before coming to Gravity Falls. You sigh, hoping to not wake the twins up.

You rub your head, and eyes trying to look around. Everything was a darker gray color than before. Almost as if the color in the room got drained, or everything was just empty. Also the atmosphere or the air was much harsher. It was harder for you to breathe than before.

A few seconds later, the laughter started up again. Louder this time. You shot up out of bed, grabbing a sharp object to defend yourself with, even if it was a spiritual being it may not help but at least you could try. I mean, worth a shot right?

The laughter rang in your ears, increasingly getting louder. You dropped the object, which you soon realized was a puny pencil, to cover your ears due to your headache, and the constant loud laughter making it way worse. Your back hits the wall, with a muffled thud, were you going insane?

"STOP LAUGHING!" You ended up shouting, while still covering your ears. They were way colder than before. Then suddenly, as you asked, the laughter just stopped. Almost as if it was a command. Your vision started to fade, and got very cloudy. You stumbled over to Mabel's bed frame, holding onto it for dear life. You drop to your knees, your head and vision spinning in waves. A sharp pain crashed into your head, almost as if something flicked your head. Who, or what is messing with you? You were hoping that it was just your mind playing tricks, but you never had a dream this vivid before. You tried so hard to keep your eyelids open, but as you were closing them to drift off back to sleep, you saw a flash of yellow.

Apparently, THAT was a dream because you woke up seconds later, and the room was back to normal color. No more emptiness, and the air and atmosphere went back to normal. You were drenched in sweat, breathing heavily and quickly. Almost as if you were hyperventilating.

What was that dream? You asked yourself. You were pretty sure at this point you were insane. You get up out of your bed, and you can see the dropped pencil on the ground. Your breath starts to quicken even faster if that was even possible at this point.

Was that real?

You sit back down on your bed, and wipe the sweat off your forehead. You hear shuffling within Dipper's bed, and it looks like he is waking up.

"You okay y/n?" He asks, groggily because I mean it's the first thing in the morning.

"I.. I think so. I might just have a headache.." You reply to his question, you hear your voice and it's shaky, almost as if you were crying. But you were pretty sure that you weren't crying, were you crying in your dream? Or, was it a nightmare?

"If you say so." Dipper said, before turning back over to the wall and falling back asleep.

You sigh as he falls asleep. You wished he didn't fall asleep because what if the laughter came back? What if you saw who was laughing? A thought suddenly pinged in your mind.

What if it was Bill?

You harshly breath in. The breath almost made you start coughing violently, but you held it in so the twins wouldn't wake up. You want them to get at least some sort of sleep. You get up out of your bed, and start to look around a little more closely in the twins room. You quickly realize how many triangles are in Dipper and Mabel's room. The window. It looked like Bill.

Another sharp breath in.

Now you feel as if something, or someone is behind you.

Sorry for the short chapter again! I'm trying to build up suspense here;_; I hope you are enjoying this so far-
