The bus halts to a stop, leaving you in front of a rustic shack building. Large wooden letters spelling, "THE MYSTERY SHACK" being on the front tells you are at your destination. You take a sigh, grab your luggage and walk out of the bus.
Once you step out, an old man walks up to you.
"You must be Y/N Pines! Come on in." He says to you.
You shrug your shoulders before following him. The front door is already open, with customers littered about in the store. Loads of little objects and clothing being mystery themed are all scattered around the store with some other miscellaneous items. As you continue walking, or rather following the man, you make an educated guess that he is Stanford Pines. Your parents told you that he would greet you at the entrance, and bring you to where your cousins are. Mabel and Dipper Pines.
Stan started to lead you up stairs to the attic where Dipper and Mabel were, and of course, Mabel was ecstatic to see you.
"Y/N!" Mabel screeched. She hopped out of bed and almost shoved Stan out of the way.
"Woah there kiddo, you don't need to shove me out of the way to see your cousin." Stan replied after he almost got shoved out of the way. He fixed his little hat, the tassel moving frantically.
You can see Dipper sitting on his bed, a lot less colorful than Mabel's bed. Which also had a pig on it, but you decided to ask questions later after you got settled. It looks as if he is reading a book, with a cover with a hand of six fingers.
Interesting...You thought. Once you got your things down you decided to ask him about it. A little bit after Mr. Pines fixated himself back up, Dipper set down the book and walked over to where you were standing.
"Mabel! Don't attack y/n, and don't make her fall over either!" Dipper said, trying to pry Mabel off of you. You glanced over at the book on Dipper's bed, curiosity intriguing you. Dipper eventually got Mabel off of you, even after Dipper got Mabel off of you she was still giddy seeing you.
"Whatever Dipper! It's not everyday our favorite cousin comes to see us! And in Gravity Falls too!" Mabel put extra enthusiasm into the word favorite. It made you smile, knowing that you are at least Mabel's favorite cousin.
"Alright I do admit it is kind of exciting y/n is here with us, but that doesn't give you an excuse to almost knock a person over!" Dipper responded to Mabel quickly. You smiled softly and quickly to the children's banter. You wished you had siblings to talk to, but you got to be an only child instead. I mean, you weren't complaining, the silence you got was pretty awesome, but it can get pretty lonely at times.
"Alright, fine Dipper!" Mabel almost shouted in a playful way. She nudged you and Dipper a bit before putting her hands on her hips.
"Alright kiddos, lets let y/n get settled in and explore the place." Stan said, leaning on his cane a bit.
"I'll help!" Mabel shouted, and before you knew it Mabel grabbed one of your bags and heaved them to the empty bed. You sighed before letting Mabel help you unpack.
A little later you are finally unpacked, and everyone in the Mystery Shack has now left as it is now dark out. You meet Mabel's pet pig which is apparently named Waddles for an odd reason. She explains how she named him because he, "Waddles". Apparently throughout the summer they have had all these crazy experiences, monsters and creepy things have been happening in this town. You end up getting sucked into hearing all about these tales about how their summer has been, and you are completely on board to do adventures with them. Dipper, after hearing this, ends up showing you the journal. The pages are filled with all these creatures and you are so entranced into this. Your eyes stop on a particular page. The page labeled, Bill Cipher.
You ended up not thinking much about that page, but something in the back of your mind felt drawn to that particular page. Once the twins and you fell asleep,
A dark shadow rose above you.
Triangle shaped.
