Camila helped Normani clean up after dinner. The guest had agreed to let Normani drive her to the police station. The two women watched television for a couple of more hours without saying much. Camila was worried about what would happen to her. There was nothing the police could do to help her, and the last thing she wanted to happen was to be picked up by the United States government and experimented upon.

It was getting really late, and Normani was ready to go to bed. She informed Camila that it was time to leave. The dancer looked up the address to the nearest police station, turned on the navigation, and made her way to her destination with her passenger in tow. After pulling into a parking space, Normani turned off the engine. She could sense that the young woman next to her was scared.

"I know this is a scary situation for you, but there are people here who can help you. They are capable of doing more than I can. If it were up to me, I would let you stay at my place; but, Lauren pays most of the bills, so she makes the rules. I'm sorry, Camila," Normani apologized.

Camila reached out to put her hand on Normani's thigh. "It's okay. You've already done so much. I can't thank you enough."

Normani smiled at the woman and then turned her attention to unbuckling her seatbelt. Opening up her door, she spoke again to Camila, "I'll walk you in."

Then, she proceeded to step out of her vehicle. However, Camila was slow to follow. Closing her own door, Normani walked around the car to open up the passenger side door. She waited patiently for Camila to exit. After taking a deep breath, the strange woman built up enough courage to get out of her seat. As promised, Normani walked her inside the building.

"Just go up to the desk, and the employee will be able to help you," Normani instructed. "I wish you luck."

Normani briefly placed a hand on Camila's shoulder and gave it a light squeeze for reassurance before leaving the building. After arriving home, Normani showered, put on her nightwear, and tried to get in bed as quietly and softly as possible hoping to not wake her girlfriend, but Lauren stirred anyway.

"Did you drop her off at the police station?" asked Lauren groggily.

"Yeah," answered Normani.

Lauren let out a yawn, "Well, I hope she gets the help that she needs." Then, she turned over and fell quickly back to sleep.

Normani wish she could have fallen asleep as fast as Lauren, but she stayed up for about another hour worrying about Camila for some reason. She didn't really know anything about her, so why should she care so much about what happened to her? But, she trusted that Lauren was right. Whatever Camila's problem was, the police would be able to direct her to the right place.

At 7:00 am, Lauren's alarm went off. Even though Normani didn't have to wake up early that day, she got up anyway to make coffee and breakfast for Lauren as she got ready. But, before she could leave the bedroom to go to the kitchen, Lauren asked her a question.

"Was Camila wearing your clothes?"

"Yesss," said Normani wondering why it even mattered to her.

"Why?" Lauren inquired.

"I found her out in the rain. She was soaking wet, so I let her shower and put on some of my dry clothes," Normani explained.

"Hold on. You let some strange, homeless person bathe in our shower?"

"Yes, what's the problem?" questioned Normani.

Lauren huffed, "Ugh! Sometimes I wonder why I'm still with you." Then, she stormed out of the bedroom and went straight to the bathroom.
