A/N: I finished my fourth Laurmani video no thanks to any of you. You can watch it above. I have a question. What is "ew" or "gross" about Laurmani? A Camren shipper commented "Ew, Camren is real," on one of my videos. She never answered my question. The other day, someone called the Laurmani ship gross on Twitter. It's not the first time I've seen comments like this.
Camila started work the following day, but Dr. Reid was only available for four hours. He had courses to teach at the medical school in the afternoon, so Camila called Normani to pick her up using Dr. Reid's office phone.
"Can you take me to buy a cell phone?" Camila asked Normani as they got into the car.
"Sure," said Normani. "Where do you want to go?"
"To the phone company," Camila answered.
"Which one?" asked Normani.
"There's more than one phone company?"
"Yes," answered Normani. Sometimes, she had to remind herself that her friend was from a different planet. "The big ones are Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, and AT&T. Or, you can go to some place cheap like Cricket, MetroPCS, or Straight Talk."
Camila started hyperventilating a little. "Oh, wow. This is overwhelming. How do I choose?"
"Since you aren't making a whole lot of money, why don't you go with cheap? Cricket is on AT&T's network, so you'll get good coverage," Normani suggested. "The bad part is that you'll have to pay full price for the phone."
"How much will that be?"
"I don't know. It depends on how many features you want. You can probably get a cheap phone for less than $100, but it won't be able to do much. A good smart phone will probably cost you close to $600," explained Normani.
"Why does this have to be so complicated?" Camila questioned. "On Orgcan, the utilities are controlled by the world government, and we use communications devices implanted in our hands."
"So, where are we going, Camila? We can't sit in the parking lot all day."
"Take me to Cricket. I'll see what I can find," said Camila.
They were in the store for over an hour as Camila read over and compared the features on all of the phones. Then, she had to go over the details of each available plan and add-on. The store representative gave up on helping her and went to assist other customers. She finally walked out with a brand new Samsung Galaxy Note 5.
"This brick cost me a quarter of my check, and it can't even project holograms or teleport objects," Camila complained. "It doesn't play 3D videos either. What a rip-off."
After they got home, the two ladies sat on Camila's bed and unpacked her phone. As it charged, Normani showed Camila how the Android operating system worked on her own phone. She showed her the Google Play store and how the Google Maps app could help her navigate the city. Instead of concentrating on what Normani was saying, Camila longingly stared at her face until Normani took notice.
"Why are you staring at me like that?" Normani inquired.
"I like you...a lot," responded Camila with a goofy smile.
Normani reached out to pinch Camila's cheek. "Aw, I like you too."
"Then, let's go find an apartment together," said Camila.
"Whoa! You're moving way too fast. Besides, I haven't even decided if I'm going to leave Lauren," Normani said.
"Normani, it's not safe here," Camila warned.
