Summers past.

Sarah Black lived.
Harry Clearwater got help for his heart.
Billy Black got on top of his diabetes before it got bad (he pouted over not being able to enjoy his wife's cinnamon rolls but the family teamed up to keep him healthy).

I kept in touch with Leah regularly, the twins were sporadic with their calls and letters and on occasion I'd get a sweet letter from Seth and Jacob.

Leah told me of the boy who simultaneously annoyed her and attracted her. Sam Uley.

On one of our calls she asked my opinion about dating him.  It was a little later than I was expecting but the system warned me certain events would happen later than 'canon'.

"It's your decision Leah but I truly believe that two individuals should be well suited for each other by sharing similar ideals if not goals. Like does he plan on leaving the rez like you wish to?"

I could almost hear Leah's shrug before she answered, "I don't know. We haven't really talked."

"Passion only takes a couple so far. In the end if you don't communicate you'll find yourselves at odds with one another all the time."

"Jake is right. You are like a wise old lady."

I laughed, "Doesn't mean I'm wrong."

She sighed, "I know." I listened as I heard her slam some of her things around before she spoke up, "What's new with you?"

"Renee is getting remarried to a baseball player named Phil Dwyer. I'm going to try and convince her to allow me to come live with Dad permanently."

"Good luck!"

"Oh I'm going to need it." Renee for all her flightiness could be as stubborn as a mule.

It took a full year after Renee's marriage to Phil before she let me go.

"Your fashion never did match the heat of Arizona." She marveled looking at my long sleeved dress and coat over my arm, I was prepared for Forks.

"I've always been a more cloudy weather girl." I smiled.

I gave her a kiss on the cheek, we were right outside my gate. I looked at the tall Phil, "Take care of her for me, Phil."

"Will do." He grinned and tipped his baseball cap my way.

I hugged Renee one last time before heading through my gate and waving her goodbye.

At last, I was on my way home to stay.

As soon as the plane was over Seattle a chime rang in my head as my system made an announcement.

[Act One of Isabella's Life complete, reward: 100 points.]

Another ding.

[System store now open.]

I let out a little sigh. At last I'd be able to get some sort of protection from the supernatural and now that I was entering 'canon' events the points would be larger than my prequel points had been. I would wait until I was in my bedroom in Forks to view what I could purchase.

Exiting the plane once it taxied in, I made a beeline for the luggage claim. My vintage forest green luggage easy to pick out as soon as it came out.

"Isa!"

I turned to smile at my dad and laughed as he lifted me in his arms and spun me around.

He took my luggage and I took my carryon to where his police cruiser was waiting. I smiled at the nostalgia.

"Your car is waiting at home. Jacob has been itching to look at the engine but I told him to wait."

"It's not that special." With the money we'd invested I was able to get a new car that was an automatic since I couldn't drive stick. I'd done my research but was picky. I didn't want anything too bulky or sporty.

When we pulled up to our Forks home I smiled at the 2004 Kia Sportage in pearl parked in the driveway.

"It's cute. I like it."

"Your bedroom is finished too."

I leaned over and gave my dad a kiss on the cheek.

"Thank you, Dad. It feels good to be home."
