Angela was accepted well at our lunch table.
Especially after she came Rosalie approved. Jasper and Edward only had nice things to say. And Emmett just went along happy to see Rosalie happy.

"You know I wouldn't think bad of you if you all just didn't eat." Angela spoke up while the Cullens stared obviously worried the jig was up. All their eyes went to Edward who shook his head slightly.

"My thought exactly, I'd understand if you all are on a special diet, just don't waste food."

"We'll keep that in mind." Edward spoke with a relieved smile on his face. I could only imagine the kind place that was Angela's thoughts.

I decided to change the subject slightly, "I had a dream about a wolf."

Well it was a while ago but still.

Angela tilted her head to the side while the Cullens tensed. "I wonder what that means?"

"Oh I'm sure it just has to do with Uncle Billy always telling us kids about the tribes legends. They are super secret, even though we are like family if Dad wasn't distantly related to the Blacks I'd probably wouldn't have been told."

Angela's eyes widened no doubt curious but respectful. "Wow, what can you tell me?"

"Wolves represent protectors of their tribe."

"Against what?"

"Negative outside forces."

"That's really neat." Then she went back to eating and I did as well ignoring the looks the Cullens were making at each other over our heads.

The animal attacks were happening. Getting closer and closer to Forks. Dad had been busy. Forks didn't often cause much trouble for the Chief of Police except that is when rogue vampires came through the area.

I didn't understand why they had to kill innocents. There were so many truly bad people, literal lists made in areas that told you where they lived. Why couldn't they hunt them?

I shook my head. I wasn't really a fan of the whole vampire genre but I'd made peace with the fact that they existed in the world I lived in. There wasn't much I could do about it.

I was thankful the Cullens rarely crossed any boundaries, occasionally I'd still wake up in a haze from a dream to see Rosalie watching over me. I'd come to realize that I somehow filled the hole in her heart where she wanted a child. It of course wasn't the same, but the way she doted on me and was always the quickest to protect me. I had no intention of taking that away from her. And if one day they discovered my Soother abilities I'd leave it up to all of them whether or not they'd like to continue a relationship.

On another note I'd been spending more weekends on the reservation my Dad instinctively knowing it was safer for me there than home alone.

I had told Billy Black of my dream, or at least the parts that weren't hazy and he didn't seem surprised in fact he was rather chipper after I told him. Suspicious.

He patted me on the back, "The meaning will reveal itself to you soon enough." He mumbled under his breath, "Hopefully after you are eighteen so your father doesn't kill him."

Him? Could it be connected to the pack?
Was I an imprint? And if I needed to wait until I was older to meet him, then he was older. Which meant Sam. He wasn't much older than Leah only a year at most, so he'd be 19-20ish. Yeah if a guy that old started hanging around me, Dad would take out his shoutgun. Still 20 felt young to me but then anyone would, I literally lived hundreds of lives. I could even give some of the older vampires a run for their money, well mentally that is.

If I was Sam's imprint, would that make me like the pack mom? I actually didn't mind that aspect. I had never really wanted to go that far away from Charlie anyways, maybe travel a little bit but always come back home.

Which brought me back to thinking of Charlie out there unknowingly hunting a hunter, and I was grateful for the kiss of Luck.

Too bad I couldn't put the effect on myself.

I had just finished up grocery shopping for Dad when I was pulled into an alley way between the grocery and one of the thrifts in town.

I struggled in the hold only to freeze as I felt teeth graze my neck only to stop and the body holding me relaxed letting out a slight moan-like groan.

Great just great. I started struggling again, I let out a scream for good measure. Several in fact only for my mouth to be covered.

"You are coming with me. I wonder what my mate will think about you."

A squeeze came at the back of my neck hard enough to knock me out. I only hoped wherever most-likely-James was taking me Jasper and the rest could track me.

My last thought before I blacked out was 'This is going to suck.' No pun intended.
