It's been an hour after that passionate kiss in the balcony and Aastha is laying on bed after changing into comfortable kurti and it's lower, more like tossing and turning every minute. She looked at Reyansh settled on couch with his laptop, acting as if nothing happened an hour ago. Did he never feel awkward after these moments. Aastha thought, because she won't be able to make eye contact with that person let alone act normally.
But Reyansh, one moment he will be doing things to her, the next moment become all blank like a walking robot.
Does he not feel the spark I feel? Aastha's overthinking screamed. She will someday get herself into depression with all this overthinking.
Only the rustling of wind from outside was entering the room and lights were dimmed.
To divert herself from useless thoughts, Aastha decided to speak.
"I want to know all about Ritik, about his trauma, past, what made him mute, everything, so that I can help him more".
Reyansh looked up from the laptop screen. Aastha sat up leaning on the headboard behind.
For few minutes, Reyansh took a pause, calculating the situation once Aastha will learn who Ritik is.
He sighed and decided to tell her, because he can be the most selfish person but Aastha is the most selfless one, he had observed her for years, her kindness always overpower her small negative flaws. She might understand everything.
"My father had an affair with his employee and accidentally got her pregnant. I was in Mexico at that time when I received a call from grandpa that an emergency had occurred. I rushed back and he took me to Himachal, to an unknown town to an unknown house. That scene was still fresh in my mind...
He paused putting the laptop on table and again leaned on couch. Aastha squinted her brows, curious to know further, what scene made a man like Reyansh affected by it.
