The swing creaked softly as I used my feet to push myself, occasionally looking over at the curious eyed boy who in return glanced at me. As our eyes met he smiled shyly an nodded an I awkwardly waved back, looking back down at my feet.
" someone's in love," my friend said in a sing song voice laughing at me.
"What?!" I looked over at him. "I haven't even talked to the guy!" I playfully punched him on the shoulder.
"Haven't? So you will soon talk to him?" The jealousy was audible in his tone but I ignored it.
"Possibly," I looked back down at my feet while kicking up some wood chips. "I mean we do have history, and math and biology together,"
"Ahh I see," he said dully continuing to swing but a bit slower now as he eyed the guy.
"Hey. Don't be that way, Charlie. I didn't do anything," I said tilting my head at him.
"I'm not being "any way"," Charlie commented standing up an storming off.
" wait come back!" I tried yelling to him.
"I'll be at ur house to pick you up at 7 for school, Blair!" He called back getting into his old muscle car an driving off.
I groaned quietly to myself dreading the walk all the way across town ill now have to be making to get home.
"Blair huh? That's interesting," an unfamiliar voice rang from beside me as I shot my head in its direction seeing that it was the guy who had nodded.
"Uh... Yeah. That's my name." I stuttered mentally cursing myself out.
"Well I'm William. Nice to meet you," he extended his hand as I shook it lightly feeling his soft warm hand in my cold one. "So I noticed your boyfriend stormed off. May I ask what happened?"
"Charlie? Oh um.. No me an him are not together." I clarified as I stopped swinging.
"The dark blonde curly haired boy an you aren't together? The really dorky guy? Really? I mean you guys are never one without the other," he raised his dark brown eye brows studying my face.
"I'm positive. We aren't together. He is just a friend," I replied running my fingers through my crimson hair.
"Hmm. Well I suppose I learn something every day huh?" He smiled tapping his finger on the swings chain.
"I guess so," I laughed nervously. "But you're new here right?" I changed the subject.
"Yes indeed," William replied with another slight smile. "The uk is where I am originally from,"
I had noticed the drool worthy accent earlier when he first began talking but I wasn't gonna be a creep about it.
"That's awesome," I smiled
"Most American girls would be asking to marry me by now. Your awfully different," he chuckled.
"Sorry but I prefer to know the guy in marrying and if I have to be the one purposing then we have an issue," I giggled looking back up at him.
His features weren't sharp. Though it wasn't enough to be considered baby faced either. His dark blonde brown hair hung sweepily in his eyes as it was noticeable he was in need of a slight hair cut. His clothes Choice was as simple as mine. Jeans an a t-shirt though I was wearing skinny jeans and he was wearing normal jeans.
"Will you be needing a ride home?" He asked looking from the setting sun back to my eyes.
"I can walk.." I whispered to myself
"Do you live close to here? It's dangerous here at night it sounds. I've heard story's," smiling slightly he stood up an extended his hand as I took it an he helped me up.
"No I live across town. But I don't-"
"Ride with strangers. It makes sense. I understand. Would you allow me to at least walk you home?" His greenish gold eyes focused on me.
"Yeah I don't see why not." I then slung my book bag over my shoulder an he dropped his keys back into his pocket.
