Light stretched his wings, letting them catch the golden glow of his realm's skies. The city of angels shimmered below, endless white marble and streams of light weaving through every corner. Beside him, Lyra stood with a calm grace, her gaze distant as though sensing something on the horizon. Despite the realm's calm, Light could tell that Lyra, like him, felt something stirring. A feeling he couldn't quite name.

"Doesn't it feel... off?" he murmured, folding his wings back as he looked at her.

Lyra nodded, her gaze never wavering. "The air. It's restless. Like something is waiting." Her voice, always steady, held a note of caution.

Suddenly, a pulse tore through the sky, bright and blinding. The once-serene heavens crackled, a jagged tear appearing before them, swirling with colors Light had never seen. The two angels stepped back, but Lyra's hand shot out, grabbing his arm. She held him steady, her grip unyielding as they stared at the rift.

"Is it... dangerous?" Light asked, the excitement in his voice thinly veiled by his fear.

"I don't know," Lyra replied, her voice barely above a whisper. But as the rift widened, he saw it: a strange, twisted landscape beyond, completely unlike the angelic realm. Jagged mountains, tangled forests, a boiling, darkened sky. And there, in the distance, a town made of bones, stretching across a strange, rocky isle. Light swallowed, realizing what this was—a portal to the Boiling Isles.

"Should we... go?" Light asked, his voice shaky but determined.

Lyra's eyes softened as she considered him. "This might not be safe, Light. We don't know what lies beyond it."

"But what if we're meant to?" Light insisted, a familiar spark of curiosity lighting up his face.

Without another word, he took her hand and stepped toward the portal. Lyra followed, her wings folding as they crossed through, and the rush of unfamiliar air hit them as they entered the Boiling Isles.

The Boiling Isles was chaotic, alive in a way that was completely foreign to them. Light's wings trembled as he adjusted to the heavy, thick atmosphere of this new realm. Strange creatures darted past them, eyes glowing in the eerie twilight. Lyra's hand tightened around his as she glanced around, wings slightly spread, ready to shield him from any danger.

Just then, a voice echoed nearby. "Whoa! Two angels?"

Light and Lyra whipped around, finding themselves face-to-face with a young girl, her brown hair tied back, her eyes wide with a mix of awe and curiosity. She wore a cheerful smile that didn't quite match the bizarre world around her.

Light blinked, feeling a mix of relief and bewilderment. "Um... hello?"

The girl grinned. "My name's Luz! Are you two lost?"

Light exchanged a glance with Lyra, whose calm gaze was now slightly softened, her suspicion tempered by the girl's warmth.

"We... could say that," Light replied cautiously. "We're new to this place. Where are we?"

Luz's eyes lit up. "You're on the Boiling Isles! Isn't it awesome? I'm training to be a witch here." She gestured to the strange, vibrant landscape around them as if it were the most ordinary thing in the world. "So, are you two, like, guardian angels or something?"

Light glanced at Lyra, trying to read her expression. Her lips pressed together thoughtfully as she nodded slowly. "Something like that," she replied, her tone gentle. "What brings a human here?"

Luz's face brightened even more. "I wanted to learn magic! There's this amazing witch here, Eda, and—well, there's a lot of story there. But if you're here, maybe it's for a reason! This place is full of surprises."

Light felt the excitement bubbling inside him again. Maybe this strange human girl was right. Maybe they were meant to be here.

But Lyra's voice cut through his thoughts, steady and calm. "We should be cautious, Light. This world... it's not like ours."

"Don't worry," Luz said confidently. "Stick with me, and I'll show you the ropes!"

With a nod to Lyra, Light smiled, feeling the thrill of adventure stir within him. Maybe, just maybe, this was where their journey was truly meant to begin.
