Once they're outside, She leans against the porch railing, her heart still racing as she tries to make sense of everything. "I... I saw him, Bakugo," she finally breathes, her voice trembling.

Bakugo turns to her, brows furrowing in concern. "Saw who?"

"My grandfather," she whispers, feeling a wave of dread wash over her. "He was in my mom's mind. I don't even know how to explain it." Her voice falters as her mind replays the chilling scene.

Bakugo crosses his arms, his posture tense as he processes her words. "What do you mean? Like, he was actually there?"

"Yeah," she says, biting her lip, trying to hold back the flood of emotions. "He was talking to her, trying to manipulate her. He... he said I would be useful to him. He's going to come after me."

"What does he want?" Bakugo asks, his tone turning serious as he steps closer, concern etched on his face.

Y/N looks away, feeling the panic bubbling inside her. "I don't know! I don't understand any of this!" She runs a hand through her hair, feeling lost. "Why hasn't my mom told me any of this?"

Bakugo's eyes narrow, a mixture of frustration and determination in his expression. "What do you think he wants?"

"I... I don't know!" she exclaims, her voice rising in pitch. "He was so sinister. I can't shake the feeling that he's dangerous. I'm scared, Bakugo. I don't know what he's capable of or what he wants. I don't know how I'm going to protect my mom. What if I'm not strong enough?" Panic surges within her, and she feels her breath hitch, her vision blurring.

Seeing her distress, Bakugo instinctively steps closer, wrapping his arms around her. "Hey, hey, breathe," he murmurs, his voice low and steady, trying to anchor her. "Focus on me. Just breathe."

Y/N leans into him, overwhelmed by the flood of emotions threatening to pull her under. "I don't know what to do!" she cries, her voice muffled against his shoulder.

"Listen," Bakugo insists, tightening his hold, his grip firm and reassuring. "We'll figure this out together. We need to talk to your mom. Find out what's going on. Aizawa will help us if it comes to that. Everything will be fine."

Y/N pulls back slightly, looking into his eyes, searching for reassurance. "You really think so?" The uncertainty in her voice is palpable, and she feels vulnerable, her heart racing.

"I know so," he replies firmly, his voice steady. "You're stronger than you think, and I won't let anyone hurt you—not him or anyone else. You'll be fine"

As she takes a moment to gather her thoughts, Y/N nods slowly, the initial panic giving way to a flicker of hope. "Okay," she says, her voice a little steadier. "Let's talk to her. I need to know what she knows."

Bakugo offers her a small, determined nod. "Yeah, let's go. Just remember, whatever happens, we're in this together."

Y/N straightens her shoulders and takes a deep breath before they turn back toward the house. Each step feels heavier, laden with uncertainty, but with Bakugo by her side, there's a sense of solidarity that lightens the load just a bit.

As they reach the front door, Y/N hesitates for a moment, her heart pounding. "What if she doesn't want to talk?"

Bakugo's expression softens, and he gives her a reassuring look. "Then we'll make her talk. Now stop overthinking it come on"

Taking another deep breath, Y/N pushes open the door.
"Mom?" Y/N calls out, her voice wavering slightly.
As she approaches her mom's bedroom door, she hesitates for a moment, feeling the knot of anxiety tightening in her stomach. Taking another steadying breath, she pushes the door open, revealing her mom sitting on the edge of the bed, her shoulders hunched and her hands clasped tightly in her lap.

"Mom?" Y/N's voice is soft but steady, breaking the tense silence in the room.

Her mother looks up, surprise flickering across her face before it settles into a mask of concern. "Y/N... I thought u were in the garage." she says, her tone a bit strained.

Y/N steps inside, closing the door behind her. "I... I wanted to talk," she says, her heart racing. "I saw grandpa."

Her mom's expression shifts, a flash of fear crossing her features, and she looks away, staring at the floor as if searching for the right words. "Honey, I—"

"Why didn't you tell me about him?" Y/N interrupts, her voice rising slightly, fueled by a mix of frustration and hurt. "About Grandpa? Why have you kept everything a secret?"

Her mom's gaze snaps back to Y/N, and she seems to recoil slightly, the tension in the room thickening. "It's complicated. You wouldn't understand, and what do you mean you saw."

"But I do understand!" Y/N insists, her emotions bubbling to the surface. "I saw him in your mind, I was outside the door! He's dangerous, Mom! He said he's looking for me, that I'd be useful to him. What does that even mean?"

Larissa's expression shifts, eyes wide with fear and anger. "I told you to not worry about it!"

"why is he here? I feel like I'm in the dark about my own family!" Y/N's voice trembles, the panic from earlier creeping back as she feels the weight of the situation crashing down on her.

Her mother stands up, pacing the small space as she runs a hand through her hair. "I did it to protect you, Y/N! I never wanted you to be caught up in this. I thought I could keep you safe if you didn't know."

Bakugo, who has been quietly observing from the doorway, steps forward, crossing his arms. "You need to explain this to her. She deserves to know."

Larissa turns to him, her expression softening slightly. "This isn't your concern, Bakugo."

"It is if it involves Y/N," he replies, his voice firm. "You can't keep her in the dark like this. It's not fair."

Y/N watches the exchange, feeling a flicker of gratitude for Bakugo's support. "Mom, please. I need to know. I can't protect you if I don't understand what's happening."

Larissa's expression falters, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. "I just wanted to keep you safe..."

"By lying to me?" Y/N replies, her voice steady but tinged with hurt. "I can handle the truth. I just need you to trust me."

After a long pause, her mother exhales shakily, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. "Alright," she finally says, her voice barely above a whisper. "But it's not an easy story. Are you sure you're ready to hear it?"

Y/N nods, her heart pounding but resolute. "I need to know."

As her mom sinks back onto the bed, Y/N Join her next to her on the bed. She can see the weight of years of secrets in her eyes. This conversation will change everything, and Y/N braces herself for the truths thats about to unfold.
