"The last one was over an hour ago," I pursed my lips in suspicion. I felt Andy roll his eyes.

"Why are you even dating him?" I gave him a look and sassily put my empty hand on my hip.

"None of your business," I scoffed, angry now. Choosing to ignore him, I focused back on Amy. "So, what am I supposed to say? 'hey, I know you saw my violent kidnapping, but I'm with my kidnappers and they're pretty chill. Don't call the police?'"

She chortled a bit, and said, "Just tell him that you're fine, and see how he reacts from there."

I did as told, for some reason. Why was I doing anything for anyone here? Shouldn't I be frightened? Shouldn't I be trying to get out?

Almost an hour later, and Kale had neglected a response. Instead of us all waiting around for him, Amy had left around the twenty minute mark, and Ashley went elsewhere in the house. Andy and I and retreated to a game of 21 questions out of complete boredom.

"But you're like, a super-fan don't you already know everything?" Andy whined in his deep voice, making me laugh.

"Not everything..." I defended, but I knew there wasn't a lot of truth to that. Still, I was bored.

"Fine," he sighed. "What's your favourite colour?"

"Same as yours," I said without thinking. "I mean, red and slash or black, what is yours?"

He facepalmed. I laughed.

"Meow," I jumped, as did Andy, at the sudden noise. "Meow, meow."

"What the hell?" Andy squinted his eyes and surveyed the room for the cats.

"Oh!" I said in revelation, and answered my phone, cutting off the "meow"s. "H...ello?"

Breathing was heard on the other line, and I immediately stiffened.

"I can hear you breathing," I said warily. The line went silent, and a scream echoed over the line. I hung up.

"Who was that?" Andy cringed, and took my phone to check the call history. "Unknown number?"

"Maybe it has something to do with yesterday!" My anxious mind quickly put together the strange events happening so close together.

"I don't think so," Andy shook his head. "Nobody knows that you're my mate. There'd be no reason for them to come after both of us."

"Maybe Ashley told someone?"

Andy's eyes darkened.

"Or, maybe not." I flinched.

As his eyes returned to a normal state, he took my face in his hands: "I wouldn't hurt you, Dawn."

My face grew warm, and I pushed his hands away. "Can we go get food?
