Lyra

8 months later...

Eight months of solitude, rituals, and meditation had prepared me for this moment in New York city. I stood in the lavish mansion, gazing out at the Manhattan skyline, my heart burning with a thirst for justice. My thoughts were consumed by the six individuals responsible for my father's tragic demise.

"Aria, I cannot wait any longer. Eight months have passed since Father's death," I said, my voice trembling with restraint, as I stared at the photograph of the culprits.

Lyra looked at me, her expression resolute. "Justice will be served Lyra we shapeshifters don't wait;we kill."

Mr. Darrael approached us, his confident stride echoing through the opulent hallway.

"Don't worry, everything is unfolding according to plan," he assured us, a sly smile spreading across his face.

A hint of amusement danced on my lips. Our ruse as a billionaire's family had been convincing, allowing us to forge ties with the Adrein's billionaire family - the very ones responsible for my father's murder.

Flashback...

Mr. Darrael stood in Adrein's mansion, his proposal calculated. "Mr. Adrein, if your son, Atlas, marries my daughter, Lyra, I'll transfer the coveted land to you."

Adrein's eyes gleamed with interest. "Are you certain? What if I ensure atlas wins Lyra's hand within a month?"

Mr. Darrael's smile hinted at hidden motives. "Then the land shall be yours. Please, accept this offer."

I turned to Mr. Darrael, gratitude swelling in my chest. "Thank you, Mr. Darrael, for aiding us. You hardly know us, yet you're willing to pose as our father. It's truly-"

He interrupted, his expression somber. "No, Lyra. I'm repaying a debt to Jwela. That's all."

Jwela. A name shrouded in mystery. What secrets bound Mr. Darrael to this enigmatic figure?

Aria's voice broke the silence. "Lyra, we must focus. Our mission-"

"I know," I replied, resolve hardening within me. "Justice for father's death we won't rest until those responsible face our wrath"

The city lights twinkled outside, but my heart remained shrouded in darkness, fueled by an unyielding determination.

"But lyra.." Aria walked closer and placed an comforting hand on my shoulder.

"This will be challenging afterall we don't know who are those two killers and you have to be careful in atlas's house.. remember his father is the mastermind" she said carefully.

I nodded, my jaw clenched in determination "I know aria but I have.. to do this" tears streamed down my cheeks.

Her grip on my shoulder tightened "And I am with you" She hugged me and I returned it.
