Sasuke sat in his house, thinking. He was twelve, an orphan, and out to kill the man who orphaned him- as well as to win the heart of the only other surviving Uchiha. Out of anger, he felt his eyes activate. Taking a moment to calm himself, Sasuke sighed and laid down on the cool floor. His futon was still covered in blood, still stained...

The sound of leaves rustling pulled him away from the train of thought.

"What?" he mused.

Standing, he brushed off his pants and walked towards the sliding door. Upon opening it, he discovered a black cat with sapphire eyes. Arching a brow, he knelt and scratched the feline between her dainty ears. She closed her eyes and purred, rubbing her beautiful face against his surprisingly gentle palm.

"What are you doing out here little one?" Sasuke sighed, preparing to lift the delicate creature.

However, the moment that he went to cease scratching her, the cat hissed and flipped. She leapt into the air and propelled herself off of his cranium. Sasuke looked at her, confused, as she trotted away from him with her long tail flickering. He had decided to call her Yoru, or "night," due to her onyx colour. When she looked over her tiny shoulder, Yoru meowed at Sasuke. It was almost like she was telling him to follow her, so he did. The male Uchiha didn't even stop to think about it. Yoru led him to the training ground, the one where he and the rest of Team Seven had officially become ninjas. This got Sasuke to remembering all that had transpired that day, which was a little under a week ago. Naruto, Kakashi, and himself had all been injured at sometime during the test, so they were supposed to be taking a few days to recover. Amber, who did not get hurt, was supposed to be training. Since she wasn't here, that obviously meant that the female Uchiha was not training.

"Why are we here?" Sasuke knelt again, scratching Yoru beneath her chin.

He wasn't expecting the kitten to glare at him, nor was he expecting the puff of smoke that always accompanied the release of a ninjustu.

"We're here to discuss how to kill that troglodyte," Amber scoffed, rolling her eyes.

"Itac-"

"Say his name and I'll kill you as well. But yes, him. I think that we should render him paralysed with my Mind's Eye jutsu and then you can stab him with your shuriken or kunai. Opinions?"

"Your whatnow?" Sasuke couldn't pretend to understand what was happening.

"It's my own personal jutsu that I've been developing after the word reached me in America that I was suddenly an orphan," she chuckled.

"What's it do?"

"It's an advanced genjutsu. To make it simple, I show people what they want most in the world. They enter a dreamlike state, and their dreams become nightmares. Any damage inflicted upon them in the vision results in minor physical wounds, depending on the setting that I use. I've killed a man with it already. He didn't go easy," she grinned, like she was discussing ramen flavours with Naruto.

"You went through accelerated training?"

"As if," she rolled her eyes, "I had to train myself. None of those idiots knew how to teach me what I needed to learn."

She taught herself how to create a personalized jutsu, and a genjutsu at that?

Of course, Sasuke wanted to kill that man with every fibre in his being. But, this was also a chance to get close to Amber and possibly win her heart.

"We could avenge our clan," was all Sasuke could manage.

"We will avenge our clan. So that pathetic little show that you put on a few days ago? Gear up or get out of my way. You may be an Uchiha, but that doesn't mean that I won't kill you as well. Understand?"

Sasuke nodded.

Amber grinned her innocent smile again, skipping over to where he stood dumfounded and pressed a chaste kiss to his cheek.

"Good. Heal up quickly. Then we can start our special training."

"Special training?"

He was twelve... just what kind of training did this girl expect to doing with him?!

AND ALONE?!

"You can only use one comma. You're no good to me in such a weak state. So yes, special training."

He was slightly disappointed.

"Go home now and rest. I'll come and get you after you've rested so that you don't fall unconscious while I teach you how to unlock the Sharingan. Sleep well."

With that, she waved farewell and just... disappeared....
