I had this poem stuck in my head and felt like writing it down so from today I'm gonna start at the beginning and write a few lines of it at the beginning of each chapter. (This part if from the last stanza of the poem)

"You having trouble sleeping too?"

I heard a voice behind me, and I recognized it right away. Without the need to turn around, I answered:

"Yeah." As I continued sipping my cold water. I felt him sit down beside me. Taylor ordered a glass of ice water too and turned to me. I didn't look at him though.

"You mad at me? I didn't purposely not tell you that Zach liked you too, I just..." I looked at him with a raised brow and he cleared his throat. I knew him better than that.

"OK, maybe I did, but I didn't have any ill intentions. I seriously just wanted to see how it would play out." I chuckled. To be honest, I think it would have been better if I never found out he liked me back. I don't know.

"Yeah, no man. I'm not mad at you. Plus I think I got over the whole 'Zach' thing."

"What? I thought you were like a thing now but we were keeping it from everyone else cause they can't keep secrets and shit and would tell Kris. What happened?" Fuck. I was not supposed to say that.

"nothing. Never mind it's fine. Anyways--" he cut me off before I could even finish me sentence:

"What did he do? Tell me or we're gonna have a problem. No, two problems."

"Nothing, I-I I'm just having second thoughts about the whole thing. I don't know its been a while since I've had a boyfriend and that didn't turn out so good."

"I don't believe you. Tell me, or so help me god I will go wake this man up, drag him down here and make him tell me."

"See, this is exactly why I didn't want to tell you. This whole thing is going to cause problems for him, and I don't want that just because it didn't work out." This was why I wasn't supposed to date my brothers friends. I just knew this was going to happen.

"I will go get him. This is your last chance. I'm his best friend, but I'm your best friend too, and out of the two of you, you're the one who needs more protection."

I could see the anger on his face, towards Zach. But I wasn't going to tell him anything because I didn't believe he would actually go get him.
