Last chapter ending:

With each step we took together through the darkened forest, I felt a little less alone. Who knew that I would end up lost in the middle of nowhere.. with a cat

As we walked on under the starlit sky, Loki trotted ahead confidently, glancing back at me as if urging me to keep up. He truly was my little guardian in this vast wilderness. And together, we would find our way home... right?

As we walked, the chill in the air wrapped around me like a thin blanket, but I barely noticed. My thoughts were focused on Loki, who had been my steadfast companion in this wild adventure. I felt a strange comfort in his presence, a warmth that pushed back against the cold.

But then, without warning, he took off. One moment, he was trotting beside me, and the next 'poof!' he was gone, darting into the shadows of the trees. My heart raced. "Loki! Wait!" Panic surged through me. I couldn't bear the thought of losing him; he had become my anchor in this unfamiliar world.

I sprinted after him, my breath coming out in quick puffs that hung in the frosty air. The ground felt uneven beneath my feet, and branches snagged at my clothes, but I didn't care. All that mattered was keeping him in sight.

"Loki!" I called out again, desperation creeping into my voice. But he was a blur of fur and mischief, weaving through the trees with effortless grace. I pushed myself harder, determined not to let him slip away.

Finally, he came to an abrupt halt just ahead of me. Relief washed over me as I rushed forward and scooped him up into my arms. "What were you thinking?" I scolded gently, though my heart was still racing from the chase. "You can't just run off like that!"

But as I looked into his bright green eyes, ready to lecture him about staying close, something caught my attention just beyond where he had stopped a strange glow illuminating the darkness ahead.

Curiosity tugged at me, and despite the chill in the air, I felt a warmth of wonder bubbling up inside. I took a cautious step toward the source of that eerie glow, Loki nestled securely in my arms. As I approached, my breath caught in my throat. There, it stood... a massive black gate, ornate and imposing, its iron bars twisted into intricate designs that seemed to whisper stories of old.

Beyond the gate, I could make out the silhouette of a grand castle, its towers reaching toward the star-speckled sky. The sight left me utterly speechless. It was like something out of a fairy tale, a place that felt both inviting and foreboding all at once. My heart raced, not from fear but from an overwhelming sense of awe.

I reached out to grasp the cold metal handle, hoping against hope that it might open. With all my strength, I pulled and pushed, but it wouldn't budge. Frustration washed over me as I leaned against the gate, letting out a defeated sigh. "Looks like we can't get in," I murmured to Loki, who blinked up at me with those bright green eyes that seemed to understand my disappointment.

Feeling a wave of hopelessness wash over me, I turned to walk away. Maybe this was just another thing I couldn't have, another door closed in my face.

I turned around ready to continue walking, but I suddenly started hearing voices, like there were some people whispering to each other and at that moment i knew that i wasn't alone, but I couldn't see anyone because of how dark it was

I felt scared as The trees loomed around me, their twisted branches casting eerie shadows on the ground as I tightly clenched loki to my chest. His soft purring was a small comfort, but my heart raced with every rustle of leaves that echoed through the stillness of the forest.

Suddenly, a group of men emerged from the shadows, their figures silhouetted against the fading light. My breath caught in my throat as I realized they were armed knives glinting ominously in their hands, a heavy bat resting on one shoulder.

"Please," I stammered, my voice trembling as I faced them. "Just leave us alone."

The leader stepped forward, a cruel smirk plastered across his face. "What's a little girl like you doing out here all alone?"

I could feel panic rising within me, clawing at my throat. "I-I haven't done anything to you. Just let me go."

They laughed, a low, mocking sound that sent chills down my spine. Loki squirmed slightly in my grip, sensing my fear. I stroked his fur gently, trying to soothe both him and myself

"Look at that little furball," one of them sneered, pointing at my cat with disdain. "How about we make this interesting?"

"Stop!" I shouted, desperation spilling from my lips. "I'll do anything! Just please leave us alone!" Tears threatened to spill from my eyes as I struggled to hold back the wave of fear crashing over me.

The leader took another step closer, his grin widening as he flicked his knife with a casual flick of his wrist. "Anything, huh? What do you have to offer?"

My mind raced for an escape route, but all I could think about was keeping loki safe. "I-I can give you money! Just let us go!"

'That was stupid. I barely have anything,' I thought

"Money?" he chuckled darkly. "You think we're here for pocket change? This is about protecting our leader, and you are considered a threat, sweetheart. "

With each taunt they threw at me, it felt like the trees themselves were closing in around us. Their laughter echoed in the stillness, and I could feel despair creeping in like an unwelcome shadow.

"Please," I begged again, clutching loki tighter against me as if he could shield me from them "i was j-just lost i-"

Just then, a sudden rustle behind them broke through the tension... a deer startled by their presence crashing through the underbrush. They turned turned around distracted by the sound.

'Now's my chance!' I thought urgently as adrenaline surged through me. "Stay close!" I whispered to loki before bolting past them into the thick underbrush.

"Get her!" one of them shouted after me.

But with every step away from them, I felt a flicker of hope igniting within me. This was not how it would end. I would fight for both myself and my furry friend

and I will never give up
