Last chapter ending:

I nodded. I needed time to process everything that had happened today, I was extremely tired, and I think taehyung noticed that

"Let's get u cleaned up, okay?"

As taehyung led me through the dimly lit corridors of the castle, I couldn't shake the tremors that still coursed through my body. The walls were adorned with intricate tapestries and paintings that seemed to whisper stories of a time long past. Each step echoed softly, a stark contrast to the chaos that had just unfolded.

"Are you okay?" he asked, glancing back at me with concern etched on his face. I nodded, though I felt anything but okay. My heart raced as I took in the grandeur around me. This was a place of beauty, yet it felt like a gilded cage.

We reached a door at the end of a long hallway, and he pushed it open to reveal a stunning room bathed in warm light. The walls were painted in soft hues, and large windows overlooked sprawling gardens filled with blooming flowers. A plush bed sat in one corner, inviting and serene.

"This is your room," he said gently, stepping aside so I could take it all in. "You can stay here as long as you need."

I stepped inside hesitantly, my eyes scanning every detail. It was beautiful... too beautiful for someone like me who had just been through such darkness. The bed looked so inviting, yet I felt a heaviness in my chest that made it hard to breathe.

"It's... amazing," I managed to say, but my voice trembled slightly.

He moved closer, his eyes searching mine for understanding. "I know it's overwhelming," he said softly. "Take your time. You're safe here."

Safe? The word felt foreign after everything I'd experienced. "What if they try to hurt me?" I whispered, anxiety creeping back into my voice.

"They won't," he assured me firmly. "Not while I'm here." He hesitated for a moment before adding, "they're good people..."

I wanted to believe him, I really did, but doubt lingered like a shadow in my mind. "I don't know if I can trust anyone right now," I admitted, feeling vulnerable as the walls closed in around me.

He stepped closer and placed a comforting hand on my shoulder. "I get that. Just remember, you're not alone anymore." His warmth seeped into me like sunlight breaking through clouds.

Taking a deep breath, I tried to steady myself as I glanced back into the room. The beauty of it all felt like a dream, a dream I wasn't sure I deserved after everything that had happened.

"I just need a moment," I said quietly, looking away to hide the tears threatening to spill again.

"Of course," he replied softly, giving me space as he stepped back toward the doorway. "I'll be right outside if you need anything."

As he left, the door clicked shut behind him, leaving me alone with my thoughts. The silence was both comforting and unsettling. I sank onto the edge of the bed, feeling its softness beneath me while battling the storm inside.

This was supposed to be a refuge, a place where I could heal, but all I felt was confusion and fear.

I stared at the wall, lost in thought. Memories swirled in my mind... Loki, he was my first friend, and I couldn't keep him... couldn't protect him

What if something happened to him? Would it be my fault, and will i ever see him again?

My heart ached with the memory of my past... of what I had endured, the harsh words, the cold nights spent with my zayne, Each recollection felt like a tight fist around my chest, squeezing tighter as I recalled how trapped I had once been.

But I couldn't let those memories pull me back into darkness. I was free now. The thought was both exhilarating and terrifying. This was a new beginning for me, a chance to reclaim my life and rewrite my story.

I took a deep breath, letting it out slowly as I tried to push those haunting thoughts aside. The flickering candlelight danced around me, casting gentle shadows on the walls, creating a cocoon of warmth and safety. Here, in this moment, I could allow myself to feel secure.

Lying back on the bed, I allowed myself to sink into the comfort of the blankets enveloping me. Sleep beckoned like a soft whisper, promising solace from the turmoil of my mind. As my eyelids grew heavy, I whispered to myself a quiet affirmation as i drifted off to sleep

~tomorrow will be better~

I drifted in and out of sleep, wrapped in the comforting cocoon of my blankets, when a gentle touch on my shoulder stirred me awake. Blinking against the soft light, I turned to see taehyung standing beside the bed, and I caught the sight of jungkook behind him leaning on the doorframe, he looked so vulnerable, shoulders slumped, his expression a mix of sadness and... worry?

Our eyes met, and I felt a rush of conflicting emotions swirl within me, I was mad, furious actually, how could he just stand there looking so lost when he tried hurting me?

My stomach twisted as I recalled everything that had happened

And he suddenly smiled, he fucking smiled at me!

I turned my gaze back on taehyung, not wanting to cause a scene

"Hey," I murmured, my voice still thick with sleep.

He held out a tray laden with food, concern etched on his features. "I thought you might be hungry," he said softly, his eyes searching mine for any sign that I was okay.

The sight of the food made my stomach churn. I appreciated his worry, but the thought of eating felt impossible right now. "I'm not really hungry," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

He frowned slightly, setting the tray down on the bedside table. "You need to eat something. I'm sure you haven't eaten in a long time. "

I could see the concern in his eyes, and it made my heart ache more. but right now, all I wanted was to curl up and hide from everything, especially from the pain that still clung to me like a shadow.

"I know," I said gently, trying to soften the refusal. "I just... need a little time." I said my voice barely above a whisper, I was scared, what if he got mad, he might, right? maybe I should have said yes and forced myself to eat

He nodded slowly, understanding but still worried. "Okay. Just promise me you'll try later?"

I was shocked, but I nodded, grateful for his patience. "I promise."

He nodded and stood up to leave, I felt a sudden wave of loneliness wash over me. Instinctively, I reached out and grasped his hand, my fingers wrapping around his with an urgency I couldn't quite explain.

"Can you stay?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.

He looked at Jungkook as if asking for his approval, but jungkook shook his head. "I really need to go, and u should rest," he said gently.

I nodded, feeling the weight of disappointment settle in my chest as he slowly pulled away. "Okay," I replied, forcing a small smile even though it felt fragile.

He gave me one last look, his expression filled with worry, before stepping out of the room with jungkook. As the door clicked shut behind them, the silence enveloped me once more. I was left alone with my thoughts, the sadness creeping back in like an unwelcome shadow.
