Jennie POVAs I lay in bed on my 19th birthday, I couldn't help but feel a warm flutter of excitement in my chest.
Today was a special day, not just because it was my birthday, but because I had Lisa by my side. She always made my birthdays feel magical, even when my family was too busy to celebrate.
I had been used to small celebrations ever since I turned 13. My parents, while they loved me dearly, often got caught up in their busy lives. They were successful and wealthy, but that sometimes meant they forgot the little things, like my birthday. I understood, though their work was important, and I loved them for it.
But Lisa? She was always there.
I smiled at the memory of our previous celebrations together. Lisa would bring me small gifts, like a cute little bracelet or a heartfelt card, and it was always the best part of my day.
The way she looked at me when I opened my gifts made me feel so special. It was like I was the only person in the world that mattered to her.
This year, she had gone the extra mile. I knew she couldn't afford big gifts like my family could, but the thought she put into everything made it feel like the most incredible celebration.
The way she decorated my room with balloons and my favorite flowers made my heart swell with happiness.
On my nightstand, I noticed a small stack of photographs. Each one was a candid shot Lisa had taken of me over the years some silly, some sweet, but all capturing the essence of who I was. It made me feel so cherished to see those moments frozen in time.
Then there was the painting. I picked it up, my heart fluttering. It was a beautiful portrait of my face, painted with such care and attention to detail. Lisa had captured my smile perfectly, and I could see how much love she had poured into it.
It wasn't just a painting it was a piece of her heart. I knew that she had spent hours on it, wanting it to be just right for my special day.
As I got out of bed and stretched, I heard the soft sound of laughter coming from the living room. My heart raced with excitement as I peered into the living room, where she was busy preparing for my birthday celebration.
I rushed to see what was going on, and there was Lisa, grinning from ear to ear, holding a small cake with a single candle on top.
In that moment, I felt the weight of happiness wash over me. I knew that no matter how busy my family was, I would always have Lisa to celebrate with.
I decided to sit back on my bed, out of sight, so Lisa wouldn't know I was watching her.
She was my rock, my best friend, my girlfriend, my lover, and my first love. She made my heart sing. This was going to be the best birthday yet.
Lisa POV
Today is a special day. It's Jennie's 19th birthday! I can't believe how fast time has flown.
It feels like just yesterday we were kids, celebrating her 12th birthday. Now, I'm here in her penthouse living room, filled with colorful balloons and fairy lights. The air is filled with excitement, and I can't wait to see her face when she sees everything I prepared.
I sneak a glance at her, and there she is, sitting on her bed with that adorable smile. Her hair falls perfectly over her shoulders, and she's wearing a cute white dress that makes her look even more beautiful. I can't help but feel my heart race.
