Alex’s pulse quickened as the familiar scent hit him like a wave, paralyzing him in his seat. Eian… here? Of all places? His mind raced, the bag of money in front of him now completely irrelevant. He hadn’t seen her in weeks, had tried to push thoughts of her to the back of his mind, but now—here she was, standing at the café door, her eyes wide with surprise.

Eian, too, was frozen. The books in her hands slipped slightly, almost falling as her grip weakened. Her heart pounded in her chest, and all the questions, all the confusion that had been swirling in her mind for weeks seemed to vanish the moment her eyes locked with Alex’s. There he was, her alpha, sitting across the room, looking as shocked as she felt. How was it possible they had run into each other like this? It felt surreal.

David Holand, the detective who had been silently watching from his seat, didn’t miss the interaction. His focus had been entirely on Alex, tracking every move, every twitch of the man known as Blue Blood. But now, he saw the change in the gang member's expression—the way his hard exterior faltered for a brief moment. Something was off, something more than just the diamond deal. Holand’s sharp eyes shifted to Eian, sensing the tension between the two.

Alex’s mind was a storm. He wanted to get up, go to her, but he couldn’t. Not here. Not now. Not with so many gang men scattered on the street and a gang car parked on the corner waiting to take him back after the mission, not with her bodyguards waiting right outside the café's door .

Eian felt like the ground beneath her had disappeared. Her alpha—the man who had filled her thoughts day and night—was sitting just a few feet away. She had so many questions, so many emotions swirling inside her.

Alex took a deep breath, forcing himself to stay calm. He couldn’t approach her now, not with Holand so close. He could feel the detective’s gaze on him, could sense the danger of making any sudden moves. But his eyes remained fixed on Eian, silently willing her to stay, to wait.

The world seemed to shrink around them, the bustling café fading into the background. Eian’s lips parted slightly, as if she wanted to say something, but no words came. Her heart was full of longing, of confusion, and of hope. Maybe this was the moment she had been waiting for—the moment he would explain everything. She blinked, her body moving instinctively toward the alpha she had dreamt of for so long.

"It's you!"

she breathed, her voice trembling with surprise and longing. Her wide eyes searched his face, desperate for answers. Then, confusion washed over her.

"Where were you?"

she asked, her voice faltering as her gaze softened. Barely a whisper escaped her lips as she added,

"Who are you?"

Alex stood silent, his mind racing. This was not the time or the place. He could feel Soulless’ men scattered outside, watching, waiting. Eian's bodyguards were stationed just outside the café's door, too close for comfort. His breath hitched as he grabbed the bag of cash, needing to get out .

Without thinking, Alex leaned in close, his voice a low whisper against her ear.

"Quinson Bridge, 10 pm tonight. I'll answer all your questions."

He pulled back quickly, leaving no time for her to respond, and rushed out of the café without a glance back.

Eian remained where she stood, her mind reeling from the encounter. The scent of her alpha still lingered in the air, intoxicating her senses. His height, his presence—it was all so overwhelming, yet perfect. She couldn’t stop the dreamy smile that spread across her lips. Slowly, she sank into a nearby chair, her heart swelling with excitement. Tonight, she would finally get the answers she had been waiting for. The confusion didn’t matter anymore. All that filled her now was anticipation, the magic of their bond igniting a spark of enthusiasm inside her.

That evening, David sat in his office, sifting through the footage from earlier that day, feeling a strange mix of accomplishment and unease. His friend Thomas, visiting to catch up, sat facing him, Thomas was a famous lawyer, he knew David for a long time, a case they worked on together.
After the brief conversation, Thomas walked towards David's side while congratulating him on the bid step today, he lancing over his shoulder at the screen. As Thomas looked closer, his brows knit in confusion. "Isn't that Eian Louinsky?" he asked, pointing at one of the pictures.

David’s gaze snapped to the photo. The strange encounter between Blue Blood and the young woman had been bothering him since he saw it. "Are you sure?" David asked, the urgency in his voice unmistakable.
Thomas nodded firmly. "Yes, I’ve seen her in real life multiple times. My sister Fiona is married to the Louinsky family alpha, and that’s Fiona’s sister-in-law, no doubt about it. But... who’s the guy with her?" His tone held a trace of jealousy, but David was too stunned to answer.

"Blue Blood," David muttered under his breath, shaking his head in disbelief. The implications of this were staggering. "We need to contact the Louinsky family, right now," he said, standing abruptly, his tone anxious and serious. Whatever was going on, it wasn’t good, and they needed to act quickly.

Tya's phone buzzed in her pocket, but her hand stayed steady, finger poised on the trigger as her gaze remained locked on her target. She finished the hit with calculated precision, pulling back and standing tall, exuding an unmistakable confidence. Her every move was laced with an effortless power, and as she casually flipped her hair, the intensity in her eyes softened for just a moment.

Only then did she slip her hand into her pocket, retrieving the phone with a hint of curiosity. A notification from the dating app flickered across the screen, catching her attention. A slow, twisted smile spread across her stunning .

Meanwhile, at the luxurious Louinsky mansion, Eian’s room was a whirlwind of clothes, the excitement and nerves of meeting her mate for the first time, actually meeting, making her indecisive. Each outfit she tried felt wrong, not special enough. She glanced at the clock, heart racing. Tonight was the night.

For the first time, she would properly meet her alpha, the one she had been waiting for. But she didn’t want a driver to take her—this night was too important for formality. She had asked Leo to drive her instead, her closest protector, the one who always stood by her side. She needed him with her on this special night, for support and comfort.

As she fretted over her wardrobe, Leo waited downstairs, his own thoughts torn between wanting to protect Eian and the pang of jealousy he felt about the mysterious alpha who had suddenly entered her life.
