[ SCENE ELEVEN ; DELETED ]

The camera's picture is blurry for a few seconds before coming to a focus. It's viewing Emma Fredrick, laying in a hospital bed. The room is painted a soft yellow color, the sheets are white and far too crisp for covering a young woman. It's evident she hasn't moved in some time, and despite the fact that her shoulder shoulder and the upper part of her left chest are wrapped in bandages, she looks very peaceful.

The screen zooms out considerably, allowing John and Mary to be seen in one corner. They're speaking in hushed voices, too quiet for the camera to pick up. Then the camera moves over to the third chair, before the chair disappears from view.

"The doctor said she should wake up any time now, John," Mary says quietly, not so much as glancing toward the camera. She reached over and squeezed John's hand then, eyes soft as she looked at him. "Everything's going to be fine."

"Yes, I know, I know . . . I'm sure everything," John took a deep, unsteady breath, before shaking his head and heaving a deep sigh. "Everything will be fine." He glances at Mary with a grateful look, squeezing her hand in return. He then looks toward the camera, before looking back over to Emma. "You should probably turn that off."

The scene cuts.

[ SCENE TWELVE ; CONCLUSION ]

The camera comes to life, this time facing the opposite side of the hospital room. John can be seen standing near the door, his grin unconcealed, Mary right beside him. They're holding hands, and she's smiling just as brightly.

It makes the room look happier, the two of them so chipper.

But the focal point of the scene is one Sherlock Holmes. He's lost the coat, and is wearing a tight-fighting dress-shirt with the sleeves rolled up. His hands are behind his back, and there's a rather good-natured glint in his bright blue-green eyes. "Ready?" he asks, looking past the camera, a smile threatening to pull his lips up at the edges.

"Absolutely."

He looks straight into the lens, and flashes a wide, proud smile. "We caught him."
