taylor's POV:
So there we were running through the ups and downs of the stupid laboratory trying to find the way out. We'd already abandoned our parents but I don't even think that was enough. Ashlyn soon stopped and of course since she was leader .
'Guys. We need to drop some people.' She whispered
The whole group was stunned and quiet, nobody really wanted to leave. So I raised my hand.
'I'll go.' I volunteered, 'Only fair.'
'No.' Tyler interrupted, 'If you stay I stay or you go and I stay, there is no way I will let you live here without me.'
Ben itched his head and cleared his throat pointing at himself, Aiden groaned, 'You wanna go?'
Ben nodded.
Aiden muttered, 'Ok I'll stay if Ben stays.'
So Tyler, Ben and Aiden dropped out, I was scared as hell but...it had to be done. Logan didn't even say anything he just followed us aimlessly. Ashlyn held me close to her while running while Logan was slowing us down.
Logan shouted, 'Guy's watch out!'
A phantom-human thing charged at me and Ash I pushed her out of the way and ducked so it jumped on Logan. Well I wasn't taking my chances.
I grabbed Ashlyn and then began to run with her, I could hear Logan screaming but the loser had a gun! He'd live.
Ashlyn began to regain consciences and run fast, we were almost at the exit when a guard stopped us right in our tracks, I froze holding Ash behind me, she felt like she was shaking. I held her tighter and hugged her, the guard waiting. I kissed her on her forehead and then charged at the guard.
I punched him in the nose while Ashlyn snapped his ankle, then cracked his neck. Monsters. I love my monster.
She picked him up and flung him over to the side and we just ran. No looking back.
We succeeded, running from the man.
