When I walk outside into the blinding morning? Afternoon? -I don't know- sun, I squint my eyes, and out my arms up in front of my face so I can see.

I lose my balance, but before I fall, I feel someone grab my arm. I look over, and see one of the officers help guide me towards a police car. She helps me get in and get buckled before shutting the door.

I look out the window when I hear yelling, and see them bringing my father outside in handcuffs. He's yelling at the officers and looking around like crazy until he sees me in the car window. He starts struggling against the officers and yelling at them, demanding they let me out of the car, take the cuffs off of him, and leave us alone.

But instead, the officers only keep a firm grip on him as they lead him to a different police car, and shove him in before closing the door in his face as he continues yelling at them.

*30 minutes earlier*

I wake up to the sound of the door to the house -or is it a building I'm in?- being broken down, and many pairs of footsteps of people who are yelling come running in.

After a little bit, the door to the small, dark room I'm in is kicked down, and two officers come running in. The male tells over his shoulder, probably to his friends, that he found something, while the female runs over to me.

She crouches down and swears when she sees the chains around my wrists connected to an anchor on the floor. A few seconds later, four other officers come running into the room, and they all pause when they see that there's nothing in this room except for me and the chains.

They then run over to me, and start trying to undo the chains. Once the chains are off, two of the officers help me stand up, and all six of them surround me and out their hands out, ready to catch me, as I sway a little bit.

The female officer says something, and all the others leave the room: she guides me out of the room, through some hallways, and down some stairs, before guiding me towards the exit of the place I've been locked in my whole life.

However long that is.
