Chapter Four

(argento's pov)

I had now set out on my great adventure. I'd packed up my things, put on a dashing disguise, and gotten far away from that miserable cave. I'd stopped through a village and gotten a newspaper, so I had some idea what was going on in the world. I'd even eaten at a restaurant and had the bartender notice -- no. He'd recognized me and he didn't panic! He even gave me a complement for getting out and expanding my narrow worldview! I ordinarily would've killed such a wimp, but I didn't want to cause a stir and scare the delicate maidens that had been dragged to the tavern by their rough-and-tumble husbands.

After I'd eaten, I wandered around and came across the RDKs. The look on their faces when they realized I was an Aeon Lord and that they didn't have their little attack dog Finn was so funny I actually snorted before popping away in a puff of rainbow-sparkly gas. In reality I'd just teleported to the top of the tree I'd been standing next to so I could watch them choke and splutter and curse my name. Then I teleported in a cloud of stinky smoke and watched them for a little bit before running away laughing my ass off.

My adventures through that day involved hunting down beasts, enjoying fresh berries under the shade of an oak by a river, and getting to the town of Silverdrake, where I rolled down a hill of snow and regretted nothing except the pesky coldness that resulted.

That was a damn good day.
