LATER THAT DAY
TIME: 13:49I arrive at home and park Mpiloenhle's car in the garage, I stand in front of the door and knock and a little boy opens it wide.
Me: "BANZI" I scream my lungs out
I hug him
Lubanzi is Mpiloenhle's 4 year old baby boy whom she had with her baby daddy, who passed weeks after Banzi was born.
Lubazi: "AUNTY"
Me: "Hey baby!!!" I pick him up and get inside and close the door. I walk to the living room and sit with him on my lap. "Why did you open the door Banzi, you know you're not supposed to open the door for anyone baby, it's dangerous, what if it was a stranger Banzi, you don't do that baby okay?"
Banzi: "okay...I'm sorry aunty"
Me: "it's okay, but don't ever do it again okay?"
Banzi: "okay aunty"
He's been at Mpiloenhle's mom's place.
I love this kid so so so much!!Me: "how are you love?"
Banzi: "I'm good aunty I just missed you and, yourself?"
Me: "aww baby i missed you more and I'm good baby, where is your mother?"
Banzi: "she is sleeping in gogo's room" he calls my mom gogo
Me: "okay baby, where's gogo?"
Banzi: "she's at the garden."
Me: "okay baby, I'm gonna go check on her, do you want to come with me?"
Banzi: "yes!"
I stand up with him in my arms, I head straight to the garden and find mom watering the plants.
Me: "Dumela mama" ( greeting mom)
Mom: "hello my baby"
Banzi: "GOGO!!!" (Granny)
Mom: "hello baby boy, unjani" (how are you?)
My mom and isizulu are like best friends. I can't fully understand isizulu nor can I speak it?
Banzi: "I'm good gogo, you?"
Mom: I'm good baby boy."
I smile because he's so cute, he's the cuter version of Mpiloenhle.
Someone says "I see you're bonding without me".
I turn and look, it's Mpiloenhle.
Banzi: "hello mama"
I place him down and he walks to his mother.
Mpiloenhle: "hi my baby"
She carries him
Banzi: "mommy you slept a long time ago and you decided to wake up now"
Her: "I'm sorry love, mommy was a bit tired"
Banzi: "okay mama, I hope you're better now!" he kisses his mother's cheek
Her: "I'm good love"Banzi: "mommy I want to watch cartoons"
Her: "okay baby"
She places him down, and she mischievously runs to the living room.
Mpiloenhle turns to mom
Her: "sawubona ma" ( greetings)
Mom: "hi baby."
She turns to me
Her: "Kea? You've been running around with my car, did you fill it up with fuel?"
Me: "uhmm..."
Her: "give me my car keys" I give her the car keys and she goes to the garage where I parked her car. "You finished my fuel Kea"
Me: " I'm sorry, it's just that-" she cuts me off
Her: " it's okay I understand"
Me: " thanks"
Her: "how's Njabulo doing?"
Me: "she's better than hours ago"
Her: "I'm glad she's okay" we talked so much and also helped mom water the plants. When we're done, we went to the kitchen and we started making food, we ate and talked. I look at the time and it's 15:02, it's time for me to leave and visit Njabulo.
Me: "hey babes I've to go and check on Njabulo, wanna come with me?"
Mpiloenhle: "what are going to go with? Because you're definitely not going with my car"
Me: "yho" the yho that came out of my mouth sounded so defeated "I'll uber"
Her: "ka dlala" (I'm joking) "but you have to pay for the fuel"
Me: "okay, I'm coming" I go upstairs to my mom's room and find her tucking Banzi in
Me: " hello mama, me and mpilo are going to the hospital to check up on Njabulo, I came to check if you'll be okay" sometimes when banzi wakes up he cries, wanting his mom that's why I'm asking if she'll be okay
Mom: "I'll handle it baby"
Me: "okay mama, stay safe okay"
Mom: "okay baby"
Me: "bye mama" I kiss her forehead and Banzi's little chubby cheeks, I head downstairs and I do not find Mpilo, I head outside and she got her car out of the garage, she's in the driver's sit.
Me: " uhmm...what are you doing" I thought I was going to drive
Her: "what do you mean, what am I doing?"
Me: " are you driving?" She looks at me with the wtf look.
Her: " haybo, of course I'm driving, I can't have you always driving my car, I miss driving it" it's true I always drive her car
Me: "yho...okay"
Her "get in" I get in and she starts driving we saw a flower shop and a teddy shop and a lot more, Mpiloenhle parked her car, and we started doing the shopping for Njabulo. After the shopping that we did, we opened the car doors and drove back to the hospital to see our girl
