Side Story 2: Halloween Night

"Cale!" March 7th knocked on his door. "Are you in thereee?! Hello??!" She stopped for a moment, turning towards her friends, Trailblazer and Dan Heng, "I guess he's still asleep."

"It's the middle of the afternoon though." Trailblazer pointed out.

"You know how he's like. He can sleep whenever and wherever." March pouted angrily.

Creak...

"What is it?" Cale yawned tiredly.

"What're you doing here, energetic human?"

"Hey Raon!" March greeted the mighty dragon. "Hello cat cuties as well." She smiled at the kids. "Don't you know what day today is?" March asked.

"What day is it, nya?"

"Tell us! Tell us!"

The cats seemed excited.

"It's Halloween!" March exclaimed loudly.

"Halloween?" The kids tilted their heads, confused, they never heard of this event before.

"Do you not know what Halloween is?" March said in a worried tone. "Don't worry! I will tell you everything you need to know about it!" She said proudly.

Trailblazer looked at March, "we don't have all day..."

"Oh, right..." March realized awkwardly. "Well, I'll tell you the gist of it for now! Halloween is a yearly event where you dress up as scary monsters, going door-to-door at every house saying "trick or treat!" for candy!" March explained.

"Monsters?" Hong asked.

"Yes, monsters!" March revealed her claws, smiling devilishly, bearing her fangs. "We're dressed as vampires!"

The cats seemed intrigued, "dad, dad! I wanna dress up too!" They tugged on the end of his pants.

"Alright..." Cale groaned, still tired.

"But where will we get the costumes?" Raon asked, as the wise one he is.

"Don't worry about that!" March gave them a thumbs up, "there's a store nearby that sells costumes."

"Nya! What're we waiting for? Let's go!" On led the lead.

"Let's go!" March said after her.

They walked together cheerfully followed behind by Cale and Dan Heng, who did not speak to each other.

"This is it!" March stood in front of the large store, "Halloween Spirit!"

"There's a store just for Halloween?" On asked.

"Of course! There's a store for everything!" March walked in pridefully. "Do you know what you want to be yet?" She asked the newbies.

"Hm..." The cats started to think deeply.

"I'll be whatever my human wants to be." Raon expressed his desire.

"Nya, nya! Us too!" Hong followed.

"We can't allow the youngest to beat us!" On took on the challenge.

March chuckled, "let's look around first."

They walked across the isles, looking for a suitable costume.

"So, what do you want to be?" Dan Heng asked.

They all looked Cale, which mare him feel awkward.

Cale finally spoke up, sighing a bit, "I'll be the grim reaper."

"Huh, I thought you hated the God of Death." On exclaimed.

"Yeah, that's why I'm dressing up as them." Cale didn't explain further, but he was definitely saying that GoD was scary and evil enough to be a monster.
