It's not easy for you

Reiji Kazama wasn't the kind of person Mina ever thought she'd end up with. A rising star in Japan's fashion world, Reiji had a charm that felt effortless, paired with a smile that was both mischievous and disarmingly genuine. He was tall, with sharp cheekbones and a piercing gaze softened by warm brown eyes. Though he was known for a striking presence on the runway, there was something calming about him when he was off the clock, the way he seemed to shed the high-fashion aura in exchange for easy laughter and gentle words.

Mina had first met Reiji six months ago during a short vacation in Japan. After a grueling tour schedule, she'd needed the escape, and returning to her roots gave her that familiar warmth she'd missed. She'd gone to a quiet coffee shop in her hometown, a place she'd visited countless times, hoping for an afternoon of peace away from the spotlight.

Reiji had been there too, tucked away in the corner with a book, his figure seemingly swallowed by the oversized hoodie he wore. They locked eyes, and Mina had felt a moment of connection—a strange flicker of recognition, as if she already knew him.

Their first conversation had been casual, as strangers in a cafe, exchanging comments about the weather, the neighborhood. But one talk led to another, and before she knew it, Mina was laughing in ways she hadn't in a long time. Reiji had a way of making her feel comfortable, seen, and like she could let go of the idol persona and just be herself.

Only a month into their growing friendship, Reiji had found out about her career with TWICE—she hadn't mentioned it, wanting to hold on to this little bubble where she could just be Mina Myoui. Reiji hadn't followed TWICE at the time, nor was he particularly into K-pop, but his reaction was surprisingly low-key. He'd only blinked, then given her an approving smile. "Well," he'd teased, "that explains why you've got so many fans."

From then on, things had changed, but in a way that felt like a natural progression. As their relationship blossomed, Reiji took an active interest in her music, diving into TWICE's discography and memorizing her lines in their songs. He often joked about her dance moves, cheering her on whenever she shared a new project or a behind-the-scenes story.

They'd only been dating a few months now, but for Mina, it felt like she'd known Reiji forever. He was there, steady and unassuming, a comforting presence she could lean on in the quiet moments. His world was fast-paced and intense, like hers, but he balanced her out. And even though their relationship was new, Mina couldn't help but feel grateful to have someone who saw her beyond the fame.

Meanwhile, across town, Momo was immersed in her own world. She sat alone in her room, the glow of her laptop illuminating her face as she scrolled through article after article, photo after photo of Reiji Kazama. She clicked on countless links, reading interviews, watching his runway videos, and even skimming his social media accounts. She studied everything about him, absorbing details like they were crucial pieces of some puzzle.

She wasn't sure what she was looking for—maybe a flaw, a piece of information that would make him seem less perfect, less suited to Mina. She knew it was unhealthy, borderline obsessive, but she couldn't stop. There was something agonizing about seeing someone else capture Mina's attention, making her laugh, getting to be the person she leaned on.

But if there was one thing she knew for certain, it was that she wasn't the type to let this linger. As Momo closed her laptop for the night, a plan began forming in her mind. A plan so unorganized, yet fueled by her uncertain emotions. Was she going to tell her how she truly felt? No, that would put TWICE at so much risk.

Am I jealous? She kept asking in her mind. "I am." She finally murmured out loud in the silence of her room. Momo threw her head back in realization and closed her eyes in frustration.

In classic Momo fashion, she returned back to the dimmed lights of the room and stared at the blank wall in front of her bed. Soft memories of her and Mina together downloading behind her eyes.

That one time when they had to share a bed together in Japan during 'Do Not Touch' promotions because Mina's room had a leak in the middle of the night. They were too exhausted and ended up cuddling until they fell asleep, then found themselves in the same position the next morning. Momo woke up first and realized she was the little spoon in their dynamic, with Mina's arm across her waist.

Her face quickly scrunched in disgust realizing now that Mina's the little spoon with her new boyfriend.

"I'm in love with her."

Momo collapsed onto her bed and screamed into the nearest pillow available. Her heart was torn in a million directions. For the first time in her life, she felt afraid. Afraid of losing her only true love.
