Brea
"Count it and make sure you call Dino to get the shipment in on time.", I heard Sebastian say as I walked down the stairs of his place.
He was on the phone.
Last night was something that occurred often whenever I got around him.
I hated it and I hated the way it made me stay away from him for a while after.
"Brea. You finally up. Good, I got places to be. You made up with Kristy yet?", his deep voice asked as he spotted me.
He was fully dressed in all black and his curly hair was moisturized and sitting beautifully on top of his head.
"I haven't and I won't. I want to start over with everything. I want to forget them.", I spoke as I avoided making eye contact with him.
"Them? Who's them?", he asked in a tone that sounded like he was becoming agitated.
"Justin, Kristy....my kids-", I spoke before Sebastian interrupted me with a smack of his lips.
"The kids? Brea.....", he spoke before stopping himself and coming to stand in front of me.
He stood in front of me before reaching his hand out and grabbing the back of my neck, pulling me into his chest.
"I'm not going to tell you what to do but I will tell you I disagree with your decision when it comes to the kids. Especially since what we went through.", he spoke and I felt his chest vibrate with every word.
"Thank you.", I responded.
"Hmmm.", he hummed as he pulled away from me and walked over to the coffee maker.
"I have meetings today. You just going to sit around here all day or-", he started.
"I want to do what you do.", I interrupted him.
Silence filled the room as he turned his body towards me and leaned on the counter.
"What do you think I do?", he asked after a moment.
"You sell drugs.", I shrugged which caused him to give me a chuckle.
"It's been 16 years since we've been up close and personal like this, Brea. I do way more than sell drugs now.", he smirked.
"16 years?", I asked shocked.
I was confused on how disconnected I became from him.
It needed to be done though.
"Yea....when your man tells you to do something....you listen obviously.", he shrugged.
Silence fell over us again.
"Sebastian. I'm sorry-", I started to say before he rose his hand.
"It's all good, Brea. I'd listen to the girl I was in love with too if she asked me to do anything.", he spoke solemnly.
Swallowing, I looked away from him and looked at my nails that were overdue for a filling.
"Anyways....I can't let you just 'do what I do' but I can treat you like a princess and set you up with a few interviews around town. You too smart and beautiful to get involved with anything on my level.", he spoke and was going to continue but his intercom next to his door started buzzing.
Confusion filled his eyes as he walked over to the intercom and I followed.
Looking over his shoulder as he clicked a few buttons that made the camera turn on, I gasped at who I saw.
