LCM is the lowest number into 2 or more numbers

Example: Find the least common multiple (LCM) of 4 and 5

The first few multiples of 4 are: 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 36, 40 and 48

And the first few multiples of 5 are: 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40, 45,50 and so on 

Common Multiples of 4 and 5 are 20 and 40 

LCM of 4 and 5 is 20

Another Example Find the LCM of 25, 15, and 30

Multiples of 15-15 30 45 60 75 90 105 120 135 and 150

Multiples of 25-25 50 75 100 125 150 175 200 225 and 250

Multiples of 30-30 60 90 120 150 180 210 240 270 and 300

Common Multiples of 15 25 and 30 are 30, 60, 120 and 150 

LCM of 15 25 and 30 is 150

Example 2: What is the LCM of 6 and 8?

Multiples of 6 = 6, 12, 18, 24, 30, 36, 42, 48, 54 and 60 

Multiples of 8 = 8, 16, 24, 32, 40, 48, 56, 64, 72, 80, 88 and 96

Common Multiples of 6 and 8 are 24 and 48 

LCM of 6 and 8 is 24 

Example 3: What is the LCM of 4 and 12?

Multiples of 4-4, 8, 12, 16, 20, 24, 28, 32, 40, 44 and 48

Multiples of 12-12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108, 120, 132 and 144

Common Multiples of 4 and 12 are 12, 24 and 48

LCM of 4 and 12 is 12
