Taylor's Residents-

Fatima-

looking at the spots of blood on the tissue made my heart rate go up...i froze..i couldn't move even if i tried to. i'm only twenty weeks pregnant..i can still have a miscarriage.

there was a knock at the door. "baby you good?" i heard from the other side of the door. i wanted to respond but i couldn't. my body wouldn't let me.

"yo Fatima, open the door. why you not responding?" Zac says, seconds later the door opens. "baby why you not responding, what's wrong?" he asked me as he stepped in the bathroom.

"blood" was all i was able to say out of my mouth. Zac looked at me, "blood? what you mean? where?" he asked me.

"i wiped myself and there's blood Zac" i told him. "oh shit, don't panic. i'll call the doctor, let me help you" he says helping me off the toilet.

he guided me to our bedroom and into the bed. he called the doctor and less than ten minutes later doctor Jackie was here.

she came on the room with an Ultrasound machine and more things that would help in this moment.

"hey Fatima i came here soon as i heard. i didn't want you to go to the hospital just yet. cause it can be something so minor, which is normal in the mid beginning of pregnancy" she tells me as she plugs up the ultrasound machine.

"thank you so much Doctor, i'm so scared. i don't want nothing to be wrong with my baby" i say with tears in my eyes. she looked at me and grabbed my hands. "Fatima i promise this baby and you will be fine okay? don't worry" she says giving me a warm smile.

seconds later Wynter and Zac came in the room. "oh my goodness who is this cutie pie?" Doctor Jackie says looking at Wynter who was climbing in the bed with me.

"this is our Daughter Wynter, Wynn can you say hi to doctor jackie?" Zac says, Wynter looks at Jackie and smiles. "hi" she says shyly as she got close to me.

"let's take a look at baby and see if we hear a heart beat which i'm sure we will" Doc say putting the gel on my belly.

she started moving the convex array on my stomach, the baby appeared on the screen causing all my anxiety to clam down just a tab bit.

we seen the baby move on the screen causing me to smile. "everything looks healthy, baby is moving. lets hear this heart beat" Doc says.

seconds later the room was filled with the sound of our baby heart beat but it sounded like a echo.. Jackie started moving around then made a face.

"when was your last check up Fatima?" Jackie asked me. "umm when i was fifteen weeks, so like five ish weeks ago" i spoke.

she gave me a nod then moved the screen so we wouldn't see anything. "that's strange" i heard her mumble. "what is it?" i asked.

"your baby seem to be bigger than what i thought, at twenty weeks your baby is supposed to be 1/2 1 pound. your baby is weighing at 2 and a half pounds" she says.

my eyes grew big. "what that mean? that's bad?" Zac asked. "no it's not a bad thing, that means the baby won't be born at 40 weeks like normal, they will be born during your 37-38 weeks of pregnancy" she tells us.

"will the baby be okay? is that too early?" i asked. "the baby will be fine, don't worry. that's not early at all. it'll be different story if i said 27-28 weeks" she says with a smile.

"so what about the spotting?" i asked. "that's normal, it's your body getting used to you having a whole human growing inside of you and since you're getting bigger by the minute. it's just getting use to it. it's normal i promise. the baby is healthy and strong. has a strong heart beat nothing to worry about" Jackie says.
