Hours later
Cedar's POV

At this point I'm about 6 drinks in and I'm starting to feel a bit tipsy. A lot more family has come over making me realize how huge our family is. I look over at Sage who is a little tipsy although he hasn't drank much but then again he's quite small. And as I look at him I realize how much I miss the feeling of his lips against mine. It's around 7:26 pm and dinner has finally finished. We all sit and naturally we eat. I look over at Sage who has barely eaten with a sad look in his eyes but he looks up at me and his expression lightens and he begins to eat small amounts at a time.

Me and Sage finish our plates so I get up excusing myself and gesture for Sage to follow me as we enter my old room I lock the door behind us. I sit on my bed and he does the same. "Sage. Are you oka-" He once again interrupts me with a kiss i pull him into my lap deepening the kiss. We sit there kissing for atleast 2-3 minutes. As we pull away we leave a string of saliva connecting us. "I've needed that." I say now realizing the taste of wine. "Me too" Sage says tasting the whiskey that I had drank earlier. I wrap my arms around him causing him to squeak. We look into each others eyes. Im in love with this small town fox boy. I lay back and pull him close. He closes his eyes and rests. He's so warm. Goddamnit I just want to lay here and cuddle him all night long. "Hey we should head back out." I say happily. "Ok let's go." Sage says softly. We get up and leave the room rejoining my family.

Sage's POV

I ask if I may have a friend come here and they say yes so I call Grace. "Hey what's up dude?" Grace asks. "Wanna come to Cedar's parents house for a Christmas party?" I ask gently. "Oh hell yeah I'll be right over." She say excitedly. I send her the address and about 20 minutes later she comes in with a case of beer and 3 bottles of whiskey. We spend the next few hours conversing and talking about life. But then Cedar's dad wants us to dance to some music. I'm nervous since I can't dance for shit but Cedar offers me one and I obviously accept. He is such an amazing dancer completely leading the way. We end the dance with a kiss which shocked most of the people in the room including me.

"You're gay!?" Cedar's older brother calls out. "No fucking way!" His cousins say surprised. "Yeah and Sage is my boyfriend." He says sheepishly. So I hug him tight to calm him. He calms down slowly lowering himself to sit on the ground. I sit in his lap burying my face into his chest to hear his heartbeat something that helps me sleep. Him and his cousins argue for about 15 minutes before his father shuts it down. "Son, I accept you. I love you no matter what." His father says kindly. I'm currently crying from all the shouting happening. Cedar notices this and tells his family to quiet down as he hugs me tight. "Shhhhhhhhh it's ok love." He says his voice like music. I calm down enough and swiftly fall asleep.

Cedar's POV

I carry him to my room and tuck him in as I walk out to talk to my family. "Mom, are you disappointed with me?" I ask curiously. "No actually I'm proud you calmed him down quite easily. I'm proud to have taught you so well." She says softly. I hug my mother. "Hey go lay down. And if you boys and Grace wanna stay here until new years you can. Also Grace is so fun and she can handle her alcohol." She says happily. "Ok goodnight mom love you." I say going into my room hugging Sage close. Grace walks in. "Hey is it cool if I crash in here for the night?" She asks. "Oh yeah you can sleep on the pull out couch." I say politely. "The What!? Also thank you for listening to my advice and going after Sage." She say as she lays on the couch. "Of course I only answered the way I did because I was scared. Hey goodnight." I say happy until I notice she's already asleep so I cuddle up closer to Sage.
