January 5th 2025
Sage's POV

I wake up in Cedar's arms as I slip out and stretch as I look at the familiar walls of our dorm room. I throw on a hoodie along with some sweat pants and walk into the kitchen and start preparing some eggs. After awhile Cedar gets up. "Hey shortie, how are you doing this morning." He says as he leans down to kiss me on the forehead. I hug him and bury my face into his chest. "I have go to class today! I wish I could stay home." I say as I hug him tighter. "Aww I understand little fox but you have to go." He says softly. I look him in the eyes and smile. "I love you Cedar." I say softly my voice quiet. "I love you too Sage." He says his voice deep and gravelly. He looks at me and smiles as he goes to sit on the couch. I grab a jacket and jeans to throw on before I get ready to head out for the day. "Cedar I love you. Stay safe." I say as I start opening the door. "Alright I love you too. Stay safe hun." He says softly his voice kind.

I walk out of our dorm into the cold winter air. As I head towards the gas station nearby the dorms I take a moment to admire the beautiful snow and clear sky, the sun not quite up yet. The snow that's falling is hitting my fur. I walk into the gas station and grab a bottle of coke and some chips. I go to pay and see a hyena working the register. "How's your day today sir?" I ask the hyena kindly. "Oh it's alright. I would rather not be here right now but hell I gotta be." He says respectfully. I pay for my stuff and head to class.

Awhile later I'm walking back to my dorm and see the hyena from earlier. "Hey, didn't expect to see you here." I say as I smile. "Oh yeah I go here but yknow gotta pay back student loans somehow." He says, as he grabs his keys from his pocket and unlocks his door. "Hey, names Alex I'll see you around." He says before entering his dorm closing the door behind him. I head to my dorm, walk in, and see Cedar asleep on the couch. As I look at him I can't help but smile. I got so goddamn lucky. He's just the sweetest. Big guy with a big heart. Hmmmm I don't see him with his shirt off often and he's fuckin fit. I manage to lay down on top of him and wrap my arms around his neck as i nuzzle into his chest and begin drifting off to sleep.

Alex's POV

I enter my dorm and sit my ass down on the couch. Fuck man I can't wait until I can get a proper fucking job. "Hey Oliver you home yet?" I call out awaiting a response. I hear his footsteps coming close. "What do you need?" He signs to me "Well I was wondering what you'd like for dinner." I say calmly. He stares at me for a moment before answering. "Well chicken or turkey wouldn't be bad." He signs swiftly. I nod and order us some food. He sits down next to me and turns the tv on. I've known him for awhile the entirety of my time in college so like 3 years. I've never noticed how cute he is while just sitting there. No that's wrong to think he just my friend. My thoughts are interrupted by a knock at the door. I open it and see the delivery boy. I grab my food and hand him a tip in cash. I sit back down on the couch handing Oliver his food. "Thank you" he signs gently before unwrapping his food. I get an email on my phone. "Fuckin hell better not be a scam or something else." I say angrily before reaching into my pocket. I read it and it calls upon anyone who wishes to tour a group of high school freshmen and their family around campus for a couple hours so they can see if they'd like to attend after high school. I sign up for it because I've got nothing to do that day. "Hey Oliver wanna join me on this?" I ask showing him the phone. "Sure" He signs before pulling out his phone and signing up. Fuckin hell I'm tired struggling to stay awake but it's so damn early. "Hey I'm turning in for the day goodnight dude." I say before walking towards my room looking back. "Ok see you tomorrow." He signs.

January 10th
Alex's POV

I awake and go through my morning routine the usual get up, shower, brush teeth, get dressed, and make breakfast. I head to the spot of which we are meant to go for the tour. Among the large group I see a black furred fox and a very stoic looking german shepherd neither appearing younger than 30 the shepherd with a clouded eye and scars adorning his arms. Hes also wearing military dog tags so hes obviously ex-military. The fox next to him is wearing scrubs seemingly a nurse and talking to them is a young Belgian Malinois. I walk up to the group. "Hello my name is Alex nice to meet you" I say to the German Shepherd as I stick out my hand to shake. "Nice to meet you I'm Zeus and this is my husband ace along with my daughter Faith." He says his voice low and husky. "Are you guys here for the tour?" I ask kindly. "Yes we are." Zeus responds as he strokes his chin fur. "You're a very kind young man." Ace says softly. Oliver walks in and I just stare. Damn he's fuckin cute. Hell I want him so bad. "Well seems like someone's got eyes for a certain guy." Ace whispers to me. "I-I yeah." I say anxiously. "Sometimes it's best to be forward with it and just tell him. That's how I got the big guy." Ace says pointing to Zeus. "That's some good advice thank you." I say gratefully. "Let's get started shall we." I say quickly after.
