Maki and Todoroki stepped into the 80s themed building. Maki smiled upon seeing all of the neon colors thrown together with different random shapes. The sounds of laughter and random music brought a nostalgic feeling over the black haired girl.
"Do you like roller skating?" Todoroki asked her. She blushed, realizing he noticed her happiness about a childish place.
"It's just... my dad used to take Denki and I here a lot." She answered, glancing up at him. He smiled softly at her.
"I know. It's stupid..."
"It's not stupid." He snapped at her. She stared at him, surprised at his sudden frustration. He had never lashed out at her before. It felt... weird.
"Let's get our skates." Maki said quickly, dragging over to a counter with a middle-aged man who looked like he was a burnout.
"Sizes?" The man asked, clearly bored of his job.
"Six and a half." She told the man.
"Ten." Todoroki said. The worker nodded and disappeared behind all of the large shelves. A few moments late. He came back with two boxes. The teens watched as he pulled skates from out of the boxes.
"Thank you!" Maki thanked the man and took her skates. Todoroki did the same, following behind her. They found an empty seat and got to work putting them on. Maki put her skates on with ease, having been there multiple times. She watched as Todoroki struggled with the laces. Even though he had been there a few times, he never learned how to lace up his skates.
"Do you need help?" She asked. He sighed, nodding.
"It won't hook on." He grumbled. She giggled and laced up the rest of his skates. She even tied them while she was down there. After they were set, they got onto the floor.
They skated hand in hand. Todoroki was a natural because of his quirk, and Maki knew how to skate. He spun her around, making her laugh. Skating with him was definitely one of her favorite dates, so fare. She made sure to take a bunch of photos for the scrapbook. She decided that even though he won't like her back, she's going to pour her heart and soul into the scrapbook.
She stared at the handsome man in front of her. He was sweating from them playing around, and he was unlacing her shoes. It doesn't get better than that. The small acts he did sent a grenade inside her chest, making all of her butterflies flutter bad. Sometimes, she tweaks out because she likes him so much.
