A New Light

The sun was just rising, casting a soft golden glow across the Cantrall-Baker home as Kylie Cantrall and Malia Baker prepared for a moment they had eagerly anticipated: meeting their granddaughter for the first time. Ava and Jake had called early that morning, their voices bubbling with excitement as they announced the arrival of their baby girl.

Kylie paced the living room, her heart racing with a mixture of joy and nervousness. "I can't believe today is the day, Malia. We're finally going to meet her!"

Malia smiled, adjusting the small bouquet of flowers they had picked out for Ava. "I know! It feels surreal. We've waited so long for this moment."

Kylie reached out, gently touching Aubrey's tiny fingers. "Welcome to the world, Aubrey. You are so loved already."
