It was 1am and Hyunjae's mind was racing. After their comeback three days ago unforgotten feelings started to rise back up to the surface.

Hyunjae tossed and turned all night long trying to shut his brain off, until now having just given up.

A warm tear rolled down the side of his face, his body sinking into the mattress. He took one of his pillows and hugged it tightly trying to make the Juyeon shaped gap in his heart fall away. 

Hyunjae's known this feeling, it wasn't new at all. Three years ago to this exact day his heart and mind decided to betray him and crave the forever unattainable. 

Lee Juyeon.

His bandmate, his best friend, his axis point in this cruel world.

He fought against every little bit of feeling he had for the younger boy, killing himself inside, breaking apart his mind, feeding himself lies. 

But it worked! after two years he was able to believe the lies he repeated to himself like prayers.

Though, nothing is really ever forgotten is it? 

Like the fight seen in Maverick and feelings he had to subdue, the directors just had to make him relive it all again.

Hyunjae would close his eyes and he'd be back in Juyeons embrace. The touch of Lee Juyeon's hands will forever be printed on the canvas that is Lee Hyunjae's body.
