"Hey sleepy head..." a warm voice says softly while stroking my hair.

I panic and shoot up off the arm of the couch and refamiliarize myself with my surroundings. Thats right, I'm in Dean's office sleeping on his sofa...shit...I fell asleep. I quickly wipe away the drool from the corner of my mouth and dart my eyes up at his rich green eyes and he looks slightly worried.

"I'm sorry, I should've woke you softer but honestly there's no softer way to wake up a stranger on your couch than that. I just didn't want you to sleep here all night and get a kink in your neck or something." He laughs and sits on the desk chair next to his desk but he sits on it with the back of the chair at his chest so he can lean on it.

" I am so sorry! I didn't mean to fall asleep. I was sitting in here scrolling my phone and then..."

"It's 2:30 in the morning, honestly I would be shocked had I walked in and you were still up. I brought us something to drink if you're game. I figured you didn't come to the bar for giggles. If you're tired and wanting to head out I totally understand that too...but I'd love to talk and get to know you." He smirks and leans on the metal desk with a yawn placing a bottle of vodka down on the desk.

His yawn ricochets towards me and causes me to yawn aswell but I nod my head yes.

My eyes are locked in on him and I feel rude for staring but he is so incredibly good looking. His dark brown perfectly shaggy messy hair, his white yet tan skin, his perfectly placed subtle age mark like freckles all over his arms and a few sprinkled on his face. But not in a little orphan Annie way but like a Jensen Ackles kinda way where you aren't quite sure they're freckles. I blink and return back to reality as we both finish yawning.

"So, what are you doing at my bar at 2 am?" He asks while pouring us each a shot into some red solo cups.
"I'm not doing dishes after hours so these will have to do!" He chuckles and hands me my cup.

I take the shot and place my cup down.

"Not to be lame and cliche but my boyfriend and I broke up tonight. So I needed to clear my head. And I guess clearing my head meant sexual harassment and an attempted drugged drink gone wrong." I laugh awkwardly shrugging trying not to sound stupid while tucking my hair behind my ear.

"I would consider that gone right. I mean you're here and Darryl is spending the night in jail, right?" He smiles taking his own shot with ease.

"Ya..." I smile, "I guess you're right. I'd rather be here than a lot of places tonight to be quite honest." I say flirtatiously but also in all honesty it's true. I feel homeless tonight because where I once called home isn't a place I feel welcome anymore.

"I can't seem to say the same, Audrey... this office is dingy, dusty and gross. But theres a lot of places I'd rather be at...with you" He says flirtatiously aiming his cup at me then pours us both another shot.

"Are you flirting with me, Dean Gulligan?" I tease clearly knowing what's happening. I pull my knees up to my chest on the couch getting comfortable while accepting the cup again swirling it and revving up to take another.

"Look, I just reciprocate what is given and you, Audrey Miller, are a flirt! And you don't have to take that if you don't want to. I just know sometimes...sometimes you just wanna forget the pain of a heartbreak." He teases at first then reassures at the end pointing to my swirling cup in hand.

"Hey, a cute guy saves me from an ogre named Darryl. I think I am allowed to be a little flirty with him, don't you think? And I can handle my liquor. Don't you worry. But you're right. Definitely needing a night where I just forget about the past and focus on what's right in front of me." I chuckle and smile...something I feel like I haven't done in a long time. I take the second shot.
