I don't really know specifically what a daddy's duties are, because I never grew up with one. I hear stories from my friends and see it from my uncles. But let me tell you about my mom's all around duties.
If your dad works to support the family, fixes everything broken in and out of the house including your family car, well, my mom does all of that. For as long as I can remember she's the only one I see under the sink fixing the leaks. My brother always teases her that she has manhands and we are her only social life.
She doesn't go out with friends and I have never seen her or hear her talk about men she likes to date. She always say that her heart isn't fixed enough to be good enough for someone else. She tells me it won't be fair for anyone to share her burden. When my brother would tease her, she will only smile and say, "Maybe, someday..."
At school, my teacher would say, "You need a man to hold and carry the family." I want to disagree with her but it is just pointless to teach a teacher about what reality is nowadays and that there are some families like mine who are perfectly happy with only a single parent.
My mom isn't just doing her mommy duties with all her heart. But she is also without a doubt fulfilling a daddys duties without any hesitation or protest.
