The classroom was quiet, the faint hum of the air conditioner filling the space.
Risa sat at her desk, her brows furrowed as she graded papers. The late afternoon sun cast a soft glow over her, highlighting the engagement ring on her finger as it caught the light.
From the back of the room, Alice watched her teacher with unwavering eyes. She had stayed behind under the guise of finishing an assignment, but in truth, her focus had never been on her work. It had always been on Risa.
To Alice, Risa was perfect—the way her glasses slid down her nose when she was focused, the way her lips pressed together when she was annoyed. Every small detail only made Alice’s infatuation grow stronger.
But the ring on Risa’s finger? That made Alice’s blood boil.
She bit her lip, her thoughts darkening. How could she give herself to someone like him? Frank could never understand her the way I do. He doesn’t see her the way I do.
Her grip on her pen tightened as jealousy surged in her chest, sharp and consuming. Her eyes trailed back to Risa’s face, her heart pounding with a mix of longing and frustration.
One day, Risa would see it too. She’d see that no one else could love her the way Alice did.
The school halls had long emptied, and the silence that filled the classroom seemed to hum with anticipation. Risa was at her desk, finishing her last few papers, the soft click of her pen echoing in the quiet room.
The sunlight outside had dimmed, but it still filtered through the windows, casting long shadows across the room.
Alice stood at the door, watching her teacher.
Her gaze was intense, every inch of her body coiled with desire and frustration. She had been so close to her teacher so many times, always feeling the magnetic pull between them, but tonight… tonight felt different.
She had stayed behind on purpose, just like every other time.
But tonight, she wasn’t just watching from the back of the room, hoping for a glance. She was going to make sure Risa saw her, really saw her.
Risa didn't notice her at first, too absorbed in her work.
But Alice knew how to make herself known. She walked quietly to the desk, her shoes clicking softly on the floor, a slow, deliberate approach.
Risa looked up, her expression surprised when she saw Alice standing there, her usual confident demeanor slipping for a moment. “Alice?” she asked, her tone not quite irritated, but wary.
Alice smiled, that same faint, dangerous smirk that always made Risa’s heart race. “I thought you might be alone, Miss Risa. Seems like you are.” She stepped closer, her breath coming a little faster. “It’s just you and me now. No one else around.”
Risa felt a tightness in her chest, the tension between them almost suffocating. She should tell Alice to leave. She should call security.
But her body betrayed her, her eyes locked on Alice, heart hammering in her chest.
“Shouldn’t you be going home, Alice?” Risa asked, her voice thick with an unspoken conflict.
Alice ignored her, leaning over Risa’s desk, her lips inches from her teacher’s ear. “I’ve been thinking about you a lot lately. You’re always so… perfect,” Alice whispered, her fingers brushing against Risa’s hand.
The touch sent a jolt of electricity through Risa’s body, though she quickly pulled away, her breath shallow.
“Don’t,” Risa warned, though it came out almost as a plea.
