Alice and Risa are caught in their undefined relationship—a push-and-pull of intense emotions. Alice’s tampo stems from Risa's seemingly flirtatious interaction with a coworker at a gala the previous night. Risa insists it was harmless, but Alice’s silence and cutting glances tell another story.
The tension finally comes to a head when Risa corners Alice in her apartment, refusing to let the unresolved anger linger.
"Alice." Risa's voice is firm but soft, just enough to make Alice’s fingers curl against the edge of the couch. "Mag-usap tayo."
Silence.
Risa’s heels click against the hardwood floor, stopping just behind Alice. "Hindi ka ba talaga magsasalita?" she asks, her tone dipping lower, almost dangerously.
Alice shifts, still refusing to meet her eyes. "Wala naman akong dapat sabihin, di ba? Para saan pa?" The sarcasm in her voice is razor-sharp, though her crossed arms betray the vulnerability she’s trying to mask.
"Para sa akin," Risa says, stepping closer. "Alam kong galit ka—pero ayoko ng ganito. Ayoko ng tahimik mo, Alice." Her hand hovers just above Alice’s shoulder before settling, her touch light but deliberate.
Alice tenses but doesn’t pull away. "Wala tayong label, di ba? Bakit ba big deal kung may kasama ka kagabi?" she mutters, her voice trembling. "Hindi ko naman dapat iniisip ‘to—"
Before Alice can finish, Risa moves in front of her, crouching to level their gazes. "Stop." Her voice cuts through Alice’s words. "Huwag mong gawing excuse 'yung no label natin." Her hands find Alice’s wrists, gently prying them from their defensive fold. "Hindi ibig sabihin nun na hindi ko iniisip na sa’yo lang ako."
Alice’s lips part, but no words come out. She looks away, the weight of her tampo melting into confusion and vulnerability. "Eh bakit—"
"Stop overthinking," Risa interrupts again, her lips suddenly brushing against Alice’s. It’s soft at first, testing the waters, but when Alice doesn’t pull away, Risa deepens the kiss, her hands sliding down to rest against Alice’s thighs.
Alice gasps at the contact, her body betraying her hesitation as she instinctively leans into Risa’s touch. "Risa," she whispers against her lips, a plea and a warning all at once.
Risa pulls back just enough to meet Alice’s gaze, her eyes dark with determination. "Kung gusto mo akong pagbayarin, fine," she says, her voice thick with intent. "Pero huwag mo akong itulak palayo. Kahit walang label, alam mong ikaw lang."
The tension snaps like a rubber band as Alice grabs Risa by the collar, pulling her back into a desperate kiss. The anger, the frustration, the longing—they all bleed into the way their lips clash and their hands wander.
Clothes fall away piece by piece as they stumble toward the bedroom, their breaths mingling with whispered apologies and soft gasps.
"Sabihin mo," Risa murmurs against Alice’s skin, her hands exploring every inch of her. "Sabihin mo na akin ka lang."
Alice’s nails rake down Risa’s back, her voice breaking as she finally lets go of the walls she’s built. "Sa’yo lang, Risa."
The night unfolds in a blur of tangled limbs and whispered promises, the lines of their undefined relationship blurring even further.
By the time dawn breaks, it’s clear they’ve found something deeper than labels—something raw and consuming.
