Chapter 1

"To make your last teenage years memorable, you can try several things to make a little change in your daily life. The early teenage life seems to change rapidly. One minute you are interested in some kind of music, food or people, Only to shift gear at the very next minute. But the last years of your teenage life is a little different as you are already a beginner of adult life. So if you are planning to make your last teen years memorable by living it to the fullest, here are some tips for you :-"

I am Shaila and yes I am a nerd who forgot to live her teenage days like how other teenager lives it. Because She was so busy to make her parents proud. But look what an irony, They are nowhere now. They passed away in an car accident last year. And here I'm stuck with my evil aunt. She is in her mid fifties living with her two childs and now me. She is always annoyed by my presence. Her sweet tone towards me had also changed after her sweet brother died. I couldn't bear to live with her one more day. As my school is over and I'm getting into college, I've selected my college very far from here, So i don't have to come here again. I'm moving to Mumbai tomorrow as I've manged to get a scholarship in a well known university there. I've spent my teen years studying like a robot, but now I want to change it and live it to the fullest. But the question is will a nerd like me be able to succeed to turn her life at complete 360°??!!

I don't have 'friend-s', I only have a 'friend'.

"What rubbish!!. Why would I like someone who is totally different from me? Ughh!! This article is of no use."
I turned off my laptop and went to bed. "Tomorrow I'll leave this place, so let's just sleep early."

Tomorrow morning :

I wake up from some noises in my room. I opened my eyes and saw in a blurry vision that a girl is doing something with my suitcase. I opened my eyes completely and got up from my bed in sbock.

"Oh! You are finally awake" The girl turned towards me and said with a cheerful smile. Thank god! It was Seema, my one and only friend since school. But soon we're gonna be apart as I'm leaving kolkata.
"I am done checking all your stuff, there is everything you needed"  Seema assured me.
I threw a pillow towards her and said " Stupid!! Check it properly , there's something missing "
"What?" She asked twitching her eyebrows in confusion. "A friend" I answered. "I'll miss you Seema".
" Aww!! " She came and hugged me tightly. "I'll miss you too. Don't worry we'll talk everyday on video call."
"And who knows maybe you find a boyfriend and don't have time to miss me?" She said teasingly.

"Oh! So maharani is finally awake and doing a Bharat-milav scene" We broke our hug from the sudden scream of my Auntie.
"if your drama is over please come down and eat."
"We're coming in a minute, Auntie"
"Yeah come fast, I don't have the entire day for you"
" Finally the burden will be off my head today" She murmured and walked away.

Finally I'm at Mumbai now. I was unpacking my luggage when I heard a knock at the door. I opened the door and found a girl with a cheerful smile standing in front of the door. She has tanned skin and brown eyes but the most noticeable about her was her curly hairs which was making her prettier.

"Hii!! So you are my roommate? " She asked making her way inside the room.I nodded at her question while she was exploring the room.

She was giving an extroverted vibe, I don't know if I'll get along well with her as I'm too picky while choosing friends. Also I say things on people's face, so I'm left with only one friend.

"What's your name?" Her question brought me back from my thoughts.
"Shaila" I replied. "And what's yours?"
"Shaila? Nice name. I'm Tania by the way"
"Nice to meet you"

I was reading my book when Tania came with some noodles.
"It's time to eat Shaila, I've made for you too"
"You can cook?"
"Yeah, I can" She gave me a plate and served me noodles.
"Delicious! You cook so well" I said while chewing the noodles.
"Thank you" She said with a wide smile.
"So... How's your dating life? Are you into someone?" Tania asked me out of the blue.
"Um-m-I-actually" I was hesitating, when she said cutting me in the middle.
"Don't tell me you never dated" Tania said. "Yess, I never dated" I replied.
Tania : "Oh girl! You haven't experienced that sweet teenage love yet?"
Shaila : "No"
Tania : "Don't worry Shaila, you'll find your Mr. Right soon. Who knows, maybe he is in college ,waiting for you .
Shaila : "I definitely want to fall in love Tania. I want to know what is love and how it feels to be in love. During my school days i was only focused towards studies but in my college life I want to experience every new thing and live my life to the fullest."
Tania : "Off course you will Shaila. And I'm with you in this journey. Let's make our college life the best chapter.
Shaila : " Thanks Tania" I said little emotionally. As per my opinion Tania has passed the vibe check to be my friend.
We both smiled at each other.

"What about your dating life?"  I asked.
"We're in a long distance relationship" She replied.
"Oh wow! Where he lives?"
"Mumbai"
"Mumbai? Then how is it a long distance?" I asked in curiosity.
"Actually we met online, he is from Mumbai and I'm from Indore. I moved here to surprise him. I haven't told him yet that I enrolled in a college of Mumbai" Tania said.
Shaila :"Wow, he will be very happy to see you here"
Tania : "let's talk about me later. From tomorrow you are going to be a new Shaila"
We both smiled and hugged each other.
