"It's not my blood." I spoke. There's blood on my hands and it's not mine it's hers. She's dead. Why would someone kill her? "I need to call 9-1-1." I say this to my friends. I grab my phone and dial."9-1-1 what's your emergency?" The operator asked in a female voice. "She's dead." I cry into the phone. "Sir, who's dead?" she asks. "My friend, she's dead, someone killed her." i told her "Ok sir and what's your name?" she asked. "Kai Rhodes" I replied.
"And what's your location sir?" she asked me on the other side of the line. "204 C street." i say. "Wrens institute for the mentally insane." I stated. "There are units on the way." The woman told me. "How long do you think it will take for them to get here?" I asked her. "The nearest station is about an hour and a half away sir, just hold tight and don't touch anything until they get there." she said through the line. "Ok" I replied. I hung up and turned to my friends.
"They said there are officers on the way, but they won't be here for about an hour and a half. They also said to leave the room but not to touch anything." I told them. "Why can't they get here sooner?" I faintly hear someone say because all I can hear is my blood rushing in my ears. "Cause the closest police station is an hour and a half away." I say to whoever is listening.
My best friend is dead, and I don't know who killed her. Her blood is staining my beat-up black converses she bought me for my birthday last year. Everyone is freaking out and I can't think. There's too much noise in here so i decided to go into another room so i can think.
I walk into the common room then all of a sudden the radio turns on and starts playing psycho killer by the talking heads and I can hear everyone start screaming in terror. "Kai, did you turn the radio on!" Jeremy yells. "No." I scream back at him. "Well can you turn it off?" he asks me from the kitchen. "Yeah, I'll see what I can do." I told him from my spot on the couch.
I go over to the old radio sitting on the mantel and see that the radio isn't even plugged in. "bro it's not even plugged in." I tell him when I walk into the kitchen. "Are you sure, maybe it was, and you are just mixing-up other wires." he says sounding a bit scared. "No, there is nothing plugged in over there. What do you want me to do now?" I ask. "I don't care, just find a way to turn it off," he says. "Ok." I walk back to the radio and try to find a way to turn it off but after 10 minutes of looking I decide to just turn it all the way down.
