One month. That was how long it took for Anastasia to figure out she was the worst mother ever. One month, and someone had already gotten ahold of pictures of Vienna and sold them to TMZ and other gossip sites. Anastasia felt like her whole world was crumbling down when her mother sent the family group chat the article, so furious even Joe was scared of her.

"It's not your fault, Ana." Lando said softly from the couch as Anastasia paced with Vienna resting in her arms, babbling quietly at her mother.

"But how could it not be? All the fucking money, all the fucking security, and now she'll be all over Twitter. TikTok is going to have a fucking field day. And-"

"Ana." Lando's voice wasn't loud, but he wasn't as soft spoken as before. He pushed himself off of the couch and walked over to his wife, reaching to take Vienna in his arms.

"Both McLaren and your label are in the process of having the photo wiped from every platform. It'll be gone by tomorrow morning. And besides, she's a good lookin' kid. There's no valid reason in the world for anyone to hate her. She barely even has a personality yet."

"Of course she has a personality. She's got yours. She's also a little shit who makes me break out." Lando gave an offended look to Anastasia, who only rolled her eyes, placing her hands on her hips. Truly, maybe this was not the end of the world. But it felt like it was the beginning of the end.

"Ana, look at me." Her husband dropped his head slightly to look at her eyes.

"I'm gonna keep pouting until you do." He sang teasingly, and Anastasia groaned, making eye contact with him. His deep blue eyes still have her chills when they bore into hers. He knew all of her secrets. And that always left her feeling so vulnerable. Even now, she was always unsure of that feeling.

"You're a good mum." They were simple words, delivered as quietly as Lando had ever delivered anything else he'd say to her. But, still, Anastasia felt a limp form in her throat as she looked up at him.

"You're tired. I know. I can't imagine what you're going through. All the shit they give you day in and day out." She felt his hand reach forward and grab her arm. A warm tear fell down her face as Lando leaned forward and pressed his lips against her forehead.

"I just... I thought I'd be able to protect her. Even I was able to grow up somewhat normal. She'll never have that. Fuck, Lan..." Anastasia looked at her daughter resting soundly in Lando's arms as he rocked her gently. Of course Anastasia loved her daughter with her whole heart. Vienna was her world, her reason. But she couldn't help but think that maybe Vienna didn't deserve to grow up in her mother's world. That maybe she deserved more normalcy than flashing cameras and red carpets.

"You're right." Anastasia looked over at Lando who was slowly lowering Vienna into her crib in the other side of the living room. His soft shushing and humming was as comforting to her as it was to Vienna. Anastasia couldn't ignore how attractive fatherhood had made Lando. Even though he was only 24, fresh off his fourth season with McLaren he looked so aged. With his scruffy mustache he refused to shave despite Anastasia's complaints and his every growing worry lines near his eyes, Anastasia found herself wanting to jump her husband's bones every time he walked into the room.

"She'll never have a normal life. Instead, she's got a superstar mum who will always make sure her daughter knows what a powerful and beautiful young lady she is."

"What books have you been reading?" She crossed her arms as Lando made his way back over to her.

"Good ones." The driver shrugged, leaning down to kiss Anastasia's lips.

"Mhm. Did my mom put you up to this?"

"Up to what? Being a good husband?" Lando laughed, his fingers trailing like ghosts over Anastasia's hips.

"Shut up." Anastasia rolled her eyes, pushing Lando aside and flopping down onto the couch. She looked out the corner of her eye, checking on Vienna, who'd already closed her eyes. The greatest blessing was that Vienna could fall asleep literally wherever and whenever. A gift she received from her father no doubt.

Lando slowly leaned over her, his hands resting on the back of the couch on either side of her head. He dropped his head to hers, breath warm against her ear.

"I love you so fucking much." Lando muttered in her ear before planting a warm kiss on her neck, a hand moving down to cup her jaw.

"The doctor said seven weeks, Lan." Anastasia sighed softly, feeling Lando's knee push between her legs.

"You think that's what I'm on about?" Lando pulled away, licking his lips, and Anastasia bit her cheek.

"I get we haven't done-"

"Bloody... Ana, you really think that sex is all I'm thinking about right now?"

"I didn't know. I haven't even given you a blowjob since before the hospital. I wasn't sure if you still thought I was hot or not."

"I get this is the hormones or whatever and it's been a rough day, but are you fucking daft?" Anastasia's mouth dropped open and Lando rolled his eyes, turning himself to fall down onto the cushion next to his wife.

"Ana, literally all I want to do right now is be here. For you. Nothing right now is about me. You just pushed that little alien out of your vagina. I stood there and almost passed out in a chair."

"I'm pretty sure you did black out for a second." Anastasia giggled, her elbow on the back of the couch, head resting against her hand.

"I feel like it was an appropriate reaction considering the circumstances."

"You weren't the one having the baby!"

"I'm an empathetic person!" Anastasia took a pillow and threw it at Lando's head, looking over as her phone buzzed. It was a message from her older brother, Joe, in the group chat with Delilah and Lando.

"He's just making sure you're okay." Lando said softly as Anastasia sighed, pressing the power button on her phone and placing it face down on the coffee table.

"I know." She glanced at the crib, where she could see Vienna's chest slowly moving up and down. Anastasia never thought the pattern of someone's breathing could consume someone's entire day, but here she was.

"God, sometimes I hate ever buying a phone in the first place. Or singing. Or dancing. Or doing fucking anything at all. I should've stayed in Ohio." Anastasia groaned, rolling her eyes. Lando smiled kindly at her, a hand reaching up to brush the hairs away from her eyes.

"Then we wouldn't have met, you muppet."

"I am your wife. For the thousandth time, stop calling me muppet!"
