Armaan entered the conference room behind kaveri a little annoyed. He wanted to talk to abhira and sort things but his grandmother interrupted their moment and brought him to the conference room. He saw a trio of Sanjay, Manoj and Rohit present in the conference room. He rolled his eyes having no interest in dealing with Sanjay and rohit.
" Look who is back, the legal head of the poddar firm who finally realised that he has some responsibilities" Sanjay taunted him.
Armaan ignores him completely, kaveri's glare shuts up Sanjay and Rohit shuts his mouth before he opens up realising his grandmother is a bad mood.
" Where were you from yesterday armaan?"Kaveri demands him, she was so unhappy with armaan for abandoning his responsibilities.
" I was searching for abhira dadisa" Armaan replied to her, he had been searching for abhira and trying to get into the singhania mansion but the guards did not let him go in. Frustrated after trying for long, he came to the poddar firm only to find abhira present here and already working.
" We are on the verge of losing two important clients but look at our most important lawyer of the firm, he was busy roaming around searching for that useless girl"
" Bass fufa sa, that girl is my wife, don't forget that" Armaan raises his voice angrily.
Kaveri felt her head aching listening to the fights.
" Shut up you both" she roars making the conference room silence.
" This is the office, maintain some decorum here. Tum log se betaar woh ladki hai, she came here and acted like a professional and is doing her work"
Armaan was a little surprised with kaveri praising abhira but a little smile made his way to his lips hearing it. Sanjay and rohit were not happy with kaveri siding abhira and Manoj was neutral.
" Abhira has agreed to deal with maheshwaris and rajvanshs and get them back to the firm as client. She has even started working on her first case, so until she faces a problem, we don't have to interfere. Now get back to your normal duty " Kaveri says in a tone which left no place for arguments. She leaves the conference room frustrated.
"I just don't see how it’s fair," Rohit said, crossing his arms. "Dadisa abhira bhabi ko itna freedom kaise de sakte hai, she just joined today and she is already working on big clients "
Armaan's jaw tightened. "That’s not how it works," Armaan said, his voice low but firm. "Abhira earned it with her smartness and ability. You both know how hard she worked to get through law school and prove herself."
Rohit scoffed. "Of course, but you should also agree that dadisa is favouring bhabhi"
"Rohit have you ever thought why dadisa who loathes abhira all of sudden is letting her deal with the firm's biggest clients and cases" Armaan shot back, the frustration building in his voice. "Because in spite of all hate dadisa harbours for abhira, she also knows how capable abhira is and abhira has earned this by her own hardwork"
Sanjay smirked. "You’re just blinded by love. You can’t honestly believe she’s better than us just because she’s married to you."
“Better? Nah abhira is the best. You both could learn a thing or two from her work ethic,” Armaan retorted, standing up, the chair scraping against the floor. “She’s not some charity case. She’s talented, and if you can’t see that, maybe it’s time to reevaluate your own abilities"
The room fell silent, the weight of his words hanging in the air. Armaan turned to Manoj, who offered him a reassuring glance indicating he was doing right, then armaan looking back at Rohit and Sanjay. “I’m not going to sit here and let you belittle her. I’m proud of her”
With that, Armaan strode toward the door, leaving behind the shocked expressions of his brother and uncle. As he walked out, he felt a surge of relief, knowing he had stood up for abhira, he knows he has been late in doing that, after months of ignorance this will not make for it but he has to start from somewhere.
He makes his way to the office place, scanning the employee desks and trying to find abhira. He finally finds her sitting and working intently on something, he approaches her.
“Abhira,” Armaan said softly, stepping closer. “Can we talk?”

Abhira looks up from the documents she was reading and looks at him“Armaan, yeh waqt theek nahi hai. I need some time till then please maintain distance as you had maintained for three months”
“I understand you’re upset, but I don’t want to leave things like this,” Armaan replied, frustration creeping into his voice. “We can work through this together.”
“It’s not that simple,” Armaan said, shaking her head. “Mein koi gudiya nahi hoon jissko jab mann kiya khush kardiya jab mann kiya fek diya, this three months of distance has caused a damage to our relationship and I need time before speaking to you about it. Right now I want to focus on my work”
