Master slowly unlocks the door and brings Cherry food.
"Good morning, sunshine."
Cherry turns her face away from Master. "How did you sleep?" He asks her as he unties her hands.
"Eat up. Oh, we're not feisty today, huh?"
"L-let me go," Cherry begs.
"There she is, but no. I told you. You're mine forever. Can I trust you or do I need to guard you until you're done?"
Cherry doesn't answer and Master gets in front of her and grabs her face. "I asked you a question. Answer me, Cherry."
Cherry searched Master's face for any sign of kindness, empathy, or sympathy, but there were none. Only coldness and bitterness.
Cherry was suddenly starting to get an idea. "Yes."
"Yes, what?" Master roared.
"Yes, Master. You can trust me."
"Good girl."
"M-Master?"
"Yes, Cherry?"
"I like your accent. I noticed a hint of it. I mean, you sound American for the most part, but when you yell- where are you from?"
"I, my dear, am from Scotland," Master replies with a grin.
"I also know what you're doing, Cherry, and I'll ask you to stop it."
"I have no idea what you're talking about," Cherry lies and feigns shock and hurt.
"Do not play with me, little girl," his voice booms, startling Cherry.
Master then turns and exits, leaving Cherry sobbing.
He isn't always cruel. There are times when he's kind. He'll sometimes check on Cherry at night and if he notices, she can't sleep, he'll read to her. Fairytales mostly.
Master came back hours later. Cherry wondered where he had gone, but she knew he'd never tell her.
He opens the door again. "I will leave your hands untied, but screw it up and it won't just be your hands that I'll tie. Your mouth will be taped shut. Do I make myself clear?"
"Y-yes, Master," Cherry sobs as Master struts out of the room and locks it back.
