Author's POV

It's been three days since they have fixed their marriage. Ishika was still baffled why Aakarsh agreed before her when he asked her reco sider her decision and left suddenly.

The next day is their engagement and she was stressing out because of it. They should have met before engagement, even if nothing to say, may be just to exchange their contacts or just to clarify why he suddenly said yes to the marriage abruptly.

She was spaced out in the office room. Frowning and sighing time to time.

"Why are you frowning this time?" Vishal asked knocking on her table.

"Just that, I've told you already."

"You shouldn't be frowning or sulking here just before your engagement day. You'll look like a drained out bride." He said flicking her forehead at the end.

"Ahh... it's not getting out of my mind, what can I do? You know me, I'm restless untill I have a closure to my question or doubts."

"Then ask him if you want and stop frowning."

"As I said, I don't have his contact details."

"We do, in the patient registration." He said with a smirk.

"No, that's not how we do it, he'll think I took advantage as a doctor or something like that, I don't want to upset."

"You're just too whipped, them wait until evening, he'll come by today."

"I'm going early for the parlour and all stuff you know "

"Then wait for a while, you're beautiful enough. Just an hour won't lessen it. Wait here and talk to him before you two leave."

"I should...right?"

"Yeah."

After a while and attending some other patients and making some reports, finally Aakarsh came, as always the room he talks and seeks some treatment with therapy was ready. She was in another room observing everything, this time he didn't talk much. He spaced out most of the time.

The therapy session ended, sighing Vishal said,"you didn't talk much today. Is there any problem?"

"I'm getting married." He said and squinted his eyes realising something that she, his fiancee, Ishika is his assistant.

"Ah... She is your assistant. Where is she? I've never seen her here, Ishika I mean."

She heard him from the other side. Her heart skipped a beat or two, butterflies fluttering their wings, dancing in her stomach, hearing her name from his deep, raspy voice, from his soft, just slightly chapped lips.

"Well, she is the other side, making your reports, since you didn't talk much there's not really much to write on the reports too. You can talk to her if you want."

"No, it's fine."

"You guys should talk, she'll understand since she's also a psychiatrist and you seem stressed about the marriage."

He didn't say anything indicating his agreement to the offer, which filled her heart in nervousness and anticipation.

Vishal left the room, coming into his office, he gestured her to go and talk to the patient.

"I should take him to the terrace or the backyard."

He nodded, and left the office too, to give them some privacy.

She started towards, into the session room slowly and taking little steps. Still nervous, she halted on her steps and took off her doctor coat and threw that in her chair and went into the room.
