Spotted
Pagkatapos ng pag accommodate sa mga visitors, uuwi na kami. It was already 5 pm and everyone was already going home or getting picked up. I went back upstairs to get my bag, as I went up I heard noises from the 4th floor... Sino kaya nandiyan pa sa ganitong oras? I saw Ms. Sullivan heading out the faculty room and approached her to ask
"Ma'am Sullivan excuse me po, sino pa nandiyan sa 4th floor?" She looked at me and smiled as she answered, "Ah baka sila Lauren at mga kaibigan niya"
L-Lauren? Hindi pa uuwi?
"Minsan hindi susunod ang mga kaklase nila sa sweepers of the day at sila ang vo-volunteer sa paglilinis sa classroom" I nodded "Ah yan pala ma'am... Sge po ma'am salamat po"
"Eh ikaw Mr. Salendro, bakit hindi kapa uuwi?"
"Ah ano Kasi ma'am, we were called by sir Matienzo mga student councils to assist and monitor the students and teachers for the PAASCU accreditation"
Ms. Sullivan looked she had a realization "Ah oo nga pala nandito sila kanina to see if our school was credited to be in level 3. So how was the evaluation? Level 3 na ba tayu"
I told her "Wala pa po update ma'am tungkol sa evaluation status pero, so far good feedback ang nakinig ko sa mga visitors tungkol sa school natin."
Ms. Sullivan nooded "Good to hear that. Sige Mr. Salendro uuwi na ako at lalo na ikaw" she points at me. I chuckled and said "Opo ma'am pa uuwi na ako. Kukunin ko lang ang bag ko at papunta na ako sa labas" She nodded and headed out.
Lauren nandito ka pa pala... Sama ng mga kaibigan mo at naglilinis pa sa classroom. Robert ba't alalang-alala ka sa kanya? Ano ka boyfriend niya? Uuwi na tayu at wala na. I grabbed my bag and went outside and closed the door.
I went downstairs and sat in the waiting area, waiting for dad to pick me up.
As I waited, I see Lauren and his friends heading here to the gate. His smile makes me wanna smile and it's something about his laughter that I just wanna keep on hearing it over and over again.
I pretended to be busy with my phone as they were getting nearer, only to be hearing their giggles. Seeing their shadows in front of me and as they are in front of me the giggles suddenly faded and they went quiet.
I looked back to see them going out to the gate, greeting the guard. I checked back on my phone to see a text from dad.
I'm almost there nak, just had to get something.
I waited for a few minutes, then dad texted again saying that he's here. I stood up and took my bag and greeted the guard goodbye then went outside.
I looked for the car and see it parked at the right then I started walking there.
I got closer to the car only to spot....Lauren waiting at the alley corner. Is he waiting for someone? Is he getting picked up too? My concerns grew a little seeing that it was sundown.
"Nak hali na. Ano pa hinihintay mo?" Sabi ni Dad with his window rolled down.
Susunod agad ako at papasok sa passenger seat. "Hi Dad mano po" he gave his hand and directed it towards my forehead.
"What made you stay a little late sa school nak?" Tanong ni dad habang i-ni-on ang kotse.
"Ah ano kasi dad, nandito kanina ang PAASCU and kami mga student councils were called by sir Matienzo to accommodate and assist sa mga visitors."
Dad nodded and manipulated the shift stick, "Ah nandito pala sila. Kamusta?"
"Wala pa ang results dad, it'll probably take a few weeks for the school to receive the evaluation results." The car drove off and we stayed silent during the whole trip.
