The weekend shoot with Jordan rolled around faster than Amira expected. She woke up with a mix of excitement and nerves, the sun streaming through her window. As she got ready, she couldn't shake the lingering feelings from her kiss with Zyair. What does this mean for me?
Pulling on her favorite oversized hoodie and a pair of biker shorts, Amira grabbed her camera and headed out. The campus buzzed with life, students laughing and chatting as she made her way to the park where they'd be shooting.
When she arrived, Jordan was already there, setting up his gear. He looked effortlessly handsome, his fitted shirt accentuating his toned arms. He caught sight of her and grinned, his eyes lighting up. "Yo, Amira! You made it!"
"Hey! I wouldn't miss it," she replied, her heart racing at his enthusiasm.
"Good, 'cause I need you to help me make this shoot pop. Let's capture some magic!" he said, gesturing to the vibrant scene around them.
As they started working, Amira fell into the rhythm of creativity with Jordan. They joked, collaborated, and fed off each other's energy, the chemistry between them undeniable. With every click of her camera, she felt more alive, more in her element.
"See that over there?" Jordan pointed to a group of students playing frisbee. "Let's get some candid shots. Bet we can catch some real good expressions."
"Got it!" Amira smiled, her heart fluttering as they dashed over. She raised her camera, focusing on the laughter and joy unfolding in front of her. As she snapped photos, she felt a rush of adrenaline, a feeling she hadn't experienced in a while.
"Perfect!" Jordan exclaimed, peering over her shoulder at the shots she'd captured. "You got a real talent for this."
"Thanks! But it's easy when you're so fun to work with," she said, her cheeks warming.
As the day went on, they shared stories about their lives, passions, and dreams. Amira found herself laughing more than she had in weeks, feeling lighter. But every time she thought of Zyair, a knot formed in her stomach.
When they took a break, Jordan handed her a bottle of water, his fingers brushing against hers. The touch sent a jolt through her, and she couldn't help but look into his eyes, searching for something deeper. In that moment, the world around them faded away.
"You know, I've always thought you were dope," he said, breaking the silence. "Your photos tell stories. It's like you see the world through a different lens."
Amira felt her heart swell at his words. "That means a lot coming from you. I admire your vibe too. You just have this energy that draws people in."
But as they stood there, the tension hung thick in the air, and Amira felt a rush of desire. Jordan stepped closer, his gaze steady and warm, his intentions clear. Just kiss me, she thought, wishing it were Jordan she was sharing that kiss with instead of Zyair. But a flicker of guilt reminded her of Zyair's sweet gestures, his recent affection weighing on her mind.
"Amira, I really enjoy being around you," Jordan said, his voice low and earnest. "Like...It feels good to be here with you."
Her heart raced at his openness, biting her lip.
Jordan's brow furrowed, concern mixing with admiration in his eyes. The tension between them crackled, each second stretching into something monumental. Amira's mind raced. Do I really want this?
"Maybe we should take a step back..." she suggested, but even as she said it, she felt her resolve weakening. She stepped closer, her voice barely a whisper. "It feels good to be here with you, Jordan. But I don't want to complicate things...especially... now that I'm with... Zyair."
