Once everyone was out of the locker rooms, the archery contest was underway.

Party was up against Sprinkle, Joystick and Moonlight. He was super nervous, shaking the bow in his hands. He shot but missed the target and almost hit someone in the crowd.

"Watch it, you almost struck me with that!" the dull purple skinned guy yelled as his blue and magenta hair was going every direction. He noticed and fixed it.

"Ah, sit down. Cotton." Popsicle said as he shrugged him off. "Just be lucky it wasn't me who almost shot ya."

Cotton grumbled as he sat back down.

Back to the game, Sprinkle and Joystick hit the target first try. They smiled and winked at each other before letting their teammates take their place.

Moonlight then shot the target. It took her two tries. She got down and her teammate shoot.

Party finally hit the target, only it was the very edge of it. He hung his head low as he and his teammate switched places.

Party's teammate was Shimmer. She found it difficult to shoot a regular bow, since she was used to her crossbow but managed to at least hit the target close to the center.

Meanwhile Moonlight's teammate, Harvest had no problem and got bullseye first try. However, he wasn't the only one.

Joystick's teammate was Raina and she also got bullseye first try.

Sprinkle's teammate was Popsicle, he wasn't was as good as everyone else. He was only slightly better at it than Party, though.

"The winner of the archery game is Crystal Prep by one." Principal Celestia announced.

As Party, Joystick, Popsicle and Harvest were heading back to the boys' locker room, "Ugh, I knew I was gonna be terrible." Party said as his hair deflated slightly.

Popsicle put his hand on Party's shoulder. "You didn't do that bad."

Party looked at him. "Everyone did better than me, even you."

"I only did slightly better than you." Popsicle corrected. "Which for my first shooting a bow, I'm actually proud of myself."

Joystick overheard and raised an eyebrow. "You didn't win, though."

Popsicle shook his head. "It's not about winning, that's just the cherry on top." He shrugged. "Sure, it's desired but you should always do your best no matter what."

"In my school, winning is everything." Joystick admitted as he rubbed his arm.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Popsicle assured.

"Is that why you're not happy?" Harvest asked curiously as he turned to them.

"I'm happy that me and Raina won but when you go to Crystal Prep, a school where you're expected to win and therefore have to as much as possible. It tends to get boring after awhile."

"I can't even imagine what that's like." Harvest commented.

"I feel so bad for Cheese and the rest of Crystal Prep." Party admitted as everyone else turned to him. "Yeah, I know him. His school and mine are rivals, after all." He shrugged. "That and he's a fellow party planner."

And with that, they entered the locker room.
