☁️ •Smile!• [Rengiyu]

"Like this!"

A voice, cheery, bright, and energetic said with smiling teeth. He spoke to the other, the opposite as the brightness of the flame. The other was a calm, mysterious blue ocean. It's too dark to really tell what swelled in the depths.

"..." Giyu, the water pillar sat silently as he watched his fellow comrad Kyojuro smile, teaching him how to use those face muscles.

"Try it! You must exercise your muscles to fully have their capability!"

Kyojuro exclaimed as he smiled some more, waiting for Giyu to do it along with him. The other watched the one with flames on his head smile brightly. Much more than he could possibly attempt. After all, Kyojuro smiled much more than he did. He almost wondered if his face muscles ever got sore from using them all the time.

".. I think the smiling should be for you to do," Tomioka answered as the corners of his lips stayed even with his mouth line.

"Don't shy out on me! I want to see what my friend looks like when he smiles,"

Giyu was piqued when Kyojuro announced they were friends. He never thought Kyojuro would think they were close enough for anything higher than a professional relationship. ".. Friend?" Kyojuro smiled some more.

"Of corse! We work together, after all. What makes us not friends?"

Giyu couldn't argue. He couldn't find an answer as to why Kyojuro wouldn't think they weren't friend. He was buddies with everyone, after all. Maybe.. just maybe he could get close to a few others if he followed Kyojuro's antics for a while.

"Come on, Tomioka! I know that the water pillar can smile!" Kyojuro ushered. Since they were friends.. maybe smiling wouldn't be the end of the world. He had something to smile about, at least.

Giyu tried lifting the corners of his lips, his mouth slightly turning into a soft curve of gentle happiness. "Yes! A little more, like this!"

Kyojuro exclaimed as he smiled much greater than Tomioka. The other tried smiling like the bright flame Kyojuro was.

"Lift your lips like this!" Kyojuro explained as he showed his pearly whites. Giyu awkwardly lifted his lips, matching Kyojuro. The other laughed, a bright laugh that brought warmth to the soul.

"Better, but maybe look more enthusiastic. You seem more uncomfortable than anything," The flame spoke as Giyu held his stiff smile.

"I am.." Giyu murmured through his fight teeth. The flame only chuckled more.

"Don't be so stiff, be free!" Kyojuro reminded, wanting his pal to feel natural with the new way he used his face muscles.

Kyojuro wrapped an arm around Giyu's shoulders with friendly intentions. He smiled freely with joy as he saw his pal Giyu smile for the first time. "You're quite the funny one, Tomioka!"

He exclaimed. He was amused by Giyu's attempts at a smile. Nonetheless, he enjoyed the effort. Giyu's large stiff smile faded. Only the small curve of gentle happiness fell on his face. Even if it wasn't as grand as Kyojuro's smile, it was free and natural. Smiling felt.. natural with Kyojuro. He liked smiling with his friend.
