Introduction

Far south of Shodun's capital lies the small city of Greybarrow, nestled uneasily between the perilous Hel's Peaks and the shadowed expanse of Xaros Forest. It remains starkly isolated. A place untouched by the technological revolution, a city frozen in time, with a wall that stands as both protector and prison against the Yokai that haunt its outskirts. Monstrous beings, diverse in size, form, and terror, still roaming the wilderness. Lingering in Greybarrow's collective memory and fostering an uneasy vigilance.

Yet within these walls, a resilient community endures. Weaving tradition and survival into the fabric of their lives. Dusty dirt streets, sparsely dotted with scraggly grass and hardy trees, wind through the heart of the town. Villagers carry on despite the quiet threat beyond. It is here, amid these somber streets, that two young souls embark on their journey, growing and exploring a world far larger—and darker—than they ever imagined.
