Surprise Trick-Or-Treaters

"TRICK OR TREAT!"
Uzi let out a groan. Another group of ass children knocking on their door, asking for free candy. She didn't understand the point of Halloween; going around, knocking on random drone's doors, asking for free batteries and sugar wires? What was the point?

She lifted her head from her pillow, blinking at the front door. Letting out a disgruntled sound of annoyance, she stood up, stumbling towards the kitchen. She swung the cupboard door open, snatching a bag of candied wires. She moved towards the front door, opening it with a furious look. At first glance at the children, she knew they were about only 5.

The little drones squeaked when they were met with Uzi's enraged look.
"T-Trick or treat...?" One of them said, stumbling over their words. Uzi snorted with annoyance.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Take the whole bag or something..." She grumbled, chucking the half-full bag of wires into the child's face. She shut the door on them before she could see how they reacted.

Uzi sighed with annoyance. That was the 11th drone to trick or treat on their door. She should get her dad to make a door that says 'stop knocking here for fuck's sake'. She sighed, collapsing on the couch, shoving her face in a pillow. She let out a loud groan, smothering it with the cushion. She was annoyed. She wished she could suffocate herself. Maybe then the dumb little trick or treaters will stop annoying her.

Ding!

She lifted her head. Who was texting her? Thad? V? N?? Grunting, she sat up, reaching for her phone. She tapped the screen, opening the notification box.

N: Hey Uzi!

She froze. Why was N texting her? He said he was busy today. Did he lie? Was he in trouble? She tapped in her password, opening the notification. Her fingers lingered over the keyboard for a moment, before typing a message back.

N: Hi Uzi!

Uzi: what do you want N

N: It's halloween!

Uzi: i know. its annoying.

*knock knock knock*

Uzi startled, twirling around in a panic. She stared at the door for a little while, her optics hollowed. She didn't even notice the message that N replied with.

N: Trick or treat 🍬 🎃

She moaned with annoyance, standing up. She snatched a box of batteries from the fridge, storming over to the door. She swiftly opened it, only to be met with a swift hug.
"Woah!" She screeched, hands flying up as she failed to register whose arms were around her. But as soon as she saw the annoyed face of V behind her and the wagging nanite canister, she knew who it was.

"N??" She yelped, looking up at him as he pulled away from the hug. N had the biggest, goofiest smile on his face, looking down at her with innocent eyes. His blonde hair was ruffled from the hug, and his hat was shifted to the side. But what she noticed most was the costume.

"Trick or treat, Uzi!!" He exclaimed. Uzi just stared with wide optics. N was wearing a back and red cape on his back, and he was wearing a very cheap devil horn headband. He had fake teeth poking out from his mouth like fangs, and he wielded a plastic red pitchfork. He noticed her staring, and awkwardly smiled with all his fangs. Behind him, V tsked, crossing her arms and making an even more annoyed face.

"U-uh. Hi? This was unexpected." She tried, still looking at N. But then her attention shifted when V stepped forward with cat ears on her head and a bow on the base of her tail. She snickered, causing V to growl at her.

"Shut. Up. N made me do it." V growled, pointing at N with a disgusted look. N looked back at her with his innocent face.
"But you look good, V!" He exclaimed, beaming with a sense of pride and joy. Uzi decided to speak up.

"O...kay. But that doesn't explain why you're at my house dressed up." N gasped, like he was hurt by her words.
"Uzi!! It's halloween! You're meant to be having fun!" He gasped, reaching out to grab her shoulders and shake her gently. Uzi squeaked, shrugging him off.
"I can't do that. I'm an angsty emo goth teen! I can't have fun." She growled, crossing her arms and looking at him with an annoyed expression. He was meant to know that already, having spent most of his time with her now. N blinked with a hurt expression.

"C'mon, Uzi! We don't have to go trick or treating or anything. Just dress up with us!"
N said, beaming, while V glared at him.

"I didn't put on this costume just for you to say no." V growled, brow furrowing. Uzi looked between the two, before groaning in anger.

"Aaaauugh. How dare you be so convincing." She grumbled, glaring at N.
"Do you have a costume for me or what?" This caused N's arms to fly up in the air, exclaiming in delight.
"Yippee!"

And so here she was, sitting on her bed, her arms crossed as N put a matching devil headband on her head. She glared at him from the side, growling.
"Done yet?" N shook his head.
"Nope! Stand up," He said, gently pushing her to her feet. She looked at him with sudden surprise.
"Wha- why?!?" Her questions were soon answered as N tied a devil tail around her waist, tying it up from the front. She flustered only the slightest, blinking at N with surprise. She looked down at the cheap foam tail, the red fabric sewn together terribly. She inspected herself in the mirror; he had put horns on her head, devilish wings (that looked like hers, arguably) on her back, and a red choker around her neck. She shifted.
"...wow? Did you make this or buy it?" She said awkwardly. N beamed with pride.
"V made the tail and wings! I made the horns. They took 3 tries, but don't tell anyone I said that." He whispered the last part to her. She blinked at him with surprise, then at V. V looked to the side, clearly embarrassed. Uzi slowly registered something.

They had dressed up for her. They had made a halloween costume for her. They came to her house, because they wanted to be with her.

Jesus christ, she thinks she loves them.

She let out a sigh, before looking up at N.
"Well. It sounded like you wanted to go trick or treating. Well, let's get on with it." N's eyes widened as he watched Uzi walk towards the door, opening it with the swipe of her absolute solver. Even V was a tad surprised.
"Wait, really?!?" He said, bouncing up and down with excitement. Uzi turned back and snickered at his excitement.
"Well, duh. C'mon, you weird, cute thing. Let's go get some batteries."
